Thanks bud I'll see what I can see later

Thing is if I check continuity in the small plug like I do with big plug then it shows nothing so is that the circuit between to parts that's buggered is there a break in element itself

OK bud, I don't know if I need kit from Internet or just soldering gun and some cable

When I was at school getting kids I reclined seat fully and 2 parts so tight together could hardly get ringures in bud let alone see anything

Thanks bud can it be repaired in situ or does seat still need split

I disconnected small plug and bridged the small plug car side to complete circuit and base got warm in less than 2 mins so it's deffinatly rear and can wires been seen?

Hi perps hopefully this is a quick 1 other day I did tests on drivers seat but wasn't sure what readings ment so I did bit more reading and today while taking kids to school I put seats on but kept quiet, eldest said after 5 mins did seat have heaters because his back as nd bum were getting warm and he didn't like it but when I put hand on seat I couldn't feel anything, so when I hot home I left heaters on but disconnected plugs to both seats and readings I got were as follows i got 14.65v passengers plug from car and 14.7v drivers plug and plug from seats I got continuity passengers seat of 0.61 small plug and 0.6 large plug but drivers side was 0.56 large plug and nothing on small plug at all so does that mean a break on drivers seat in back part of seat?

I've just put it back to standard but I think the self locking can be switched off in aftermarket unit

The problem m with it is?

Yeah it unlocks when you walk upto it and have to press brakes to start car and it auto locks after 15seconds of driving then unlocks when engine stopped

Nothing but keyless entry uses there own fob but while I new how to connect it for sill locking there was no alarm, but thinking of it now itlf it's wired so alarm works then if you press brakes 15 seconds after car starts it locks doors so a bad idea then lol also thinking about it if while using sill lock and no alarm was OK with push starter if it thinks key was used to unlock car but car started from buttom I'm assuming eventually it will upset the BECM

It's currently back to standard bud but are you meaning cables to outstation

I took it out but I wired it to the lock unlock cables in door then to couple relays then to gob sytem but the lock unlock from BECM was cut do it didn't feed back to outstation but as it only activated lock for sill locking it didn't activate alarm and I woul have liked alarm working

I had a keyless entry and push button wired and working in car but the keyless entry/locking was effectively only mimicking using sill buttons to lock car so I was wondering could it be connected so BECM thinks it's original system and alarm works as well?

Yes, a full cassette that is known to be working is much easier. Also means you have to drop the headlining to fit it so you can re-trim it to deal with the drooping cloth while it is out.

Already done the headliner lol but dropping it again is that big a deal and fonmacn I agree its not a high priority maybe look for nice electric seats and fix heaters

I am getting message and Kotor works but as I said the passengers side is broken so I though cassette would be easier

No I'm in Scotland bud

Does anyone know and decent repair kits, mines busted passengers side or and cheap sunroof cassettes for sale?

All passed now till end Nov next year lol, he said for age is was a good car, well cared for, new sunroof now lol

Even still if I use car to get kids and back abou20-30mins its still been failed so illegal, I never normally see police but sods law I would, I not complaining though I will take the result and 5 min fix
