Chris, I actually prefer the Vogue 50, it was cutting edge in its time with TVs and Sat Nav. I also think that they have never been taken seriously and as such are now rare. There are 5 H&Hs for sale online today but you try and find a Vogue 50 for sale? The Vogue 50 does however need a Y2k light facelift otherwise the orange indicators clash (luckily mine has been upgraded).
Rob, keen to find details on any Vogue 50, my register is small to say the least for them.
I have a genuine RR Vogue 50 Carin (one of only 30 made with sat Nav) and one of only 85 made in total. It has a genuine 81k on the clock (probably the lowest mileage one in the country) sadly it has not been driven for many years, but is complete and only coved 5 miles since last MOT. I'm looking to sell it if anyone is interested. Please message me if you are interested.

Morat, yes that's on my register. I've also just discovered this one for sale but can't identify it due to the number plate being coved up. I have now located 17 H&H with original factory TVs

It should be fitted with a 21'x6' rear plate. Not the standard UK size.
This is probably one of the best H&Hs left with genuine factory TVs and low mileage. Although it's a genuine one it's a shame it's registered as an HSE Auto on the logbook. The aftermarket towbar, incorrectly sized rear number plate and wrong headphones are a shame but easily correctable. It's been on the market for a long time and cheap if you compare it to a Defender. A real collectors item in my opinion and can only appreciate in value in years to come.

Does anyone remember the Crime Watch that aired around 2000 regarding a hit and run in London and a Vogue 50 driven by a Russian Oligarch? I'm sure this used to be on YouTube but I can't find it anymore? Like my H&H register I'm trying to build a Vogue 50 register.

My automatic gearbox will not pull away in D but will manually in 1st and you can gather momentum and shift all the way up to Drive eventually. I self diagnosed this as a blown gearbox? Am I correct? Problem is I've now purchased a donar vehical which drives fine until you put it into low ratio and then it vibrates and just doesn't sound good when you gather any speed / revs whatsoever. Could this be the transfer box? Between the two faulty vehicals could I make one good? Any help would be appreciated.
David / Marty many thanks, however I have removed my scuttle, found the GPS receiver (one single black wire leading to it). There is a rubber 'block' about 5cm away from the receiver however this appears to be a sealed unit with no access? I have then traced the single black wire back through the bulkhead into the engine bay where it joins the cars wiring harness? Any help would be appreciated.
There's actually 6 for sale on eBay at the moment. I think the fact that one dealer put two up for sale at 20k at the same time has brought them all out of the wood work. The prices of the two 20k ones have slowly dropped. If you look one really is in great condition but the second one has been messed around and wood painted badly. The other 4 seem more realistically priced but certainly aren't show winners. It still amazes me how low these prices are for really collectable automotive history compared to Defenders. I've recently managed to track down 24 H&Hs with 16 of these with factory TVs. I'm keen to locate more if anyone has any details.
I've got a late 2000 P38 with factory fitted sat Nav. The system works fine with maps loading correctly and all functions working well except for the GPS input. It always defaults me 100 miles away. If I go into the 'hidden menu' by selecting settings and then holding the menu button down for 10 seconds my sensor check indicates 0 satelites and reception interference. Has anyone experienced this before. I believe the GPS sensor is in the scuttle panel, but where does this then feed into? The GPS screen or the CD unit in the boot? Are there any other parts or just these three main components? Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks for all your comments, however I didn’t take your advise. Instead I had a spare roof lining around so I put the new lining on, stretched it the best I could, then I laid a plastic painters sheet over it then laid the 2nd head lining on top and applied plenty of weights emphasising on the tricky corners. I also cut slits in the ‘holes’ to allow a little more stretch. I left it for 24hrs in my greenhouse and the results are ‘near perfect’. I highly recommend this ‘sandwich’ approach.
I’m looking for some tips on replacing my headlining material. Over the years I’ve replaced 4 but still never mastered the technique in the dips. I have always used foam backed material from AS-trim. The areas I just can’t master is in the grab handles and around the sun visors. I’ve even tried cutting the material by the rear lights etc to alow more stretch in the dips. Although they always look good I’ve never managed to get that factory look. Any experts out there with some advise?

If it is the same person as advertising on eBay (I’d be surprised with my own experience) you might as well spend 99p on eBay, if he fails again leave a negative review and bad feedback which will slow his eBay business down.

Radio codes for P38 Alpine systems can be purchased for 99p on eBay. Yes he advertises it as ‘Mercedes’ but I have used him plenty of times and he responds within minutes and 100% success rate on P38 Alpines. Search on eBay ‘’MERCEDES BENZ ALPINE RADIO CODE SERVICE AL2910 AL2199 - ONLY - 99p’’
Gilbertd, you are correct, some Holland & Hollands appear to have only been registered as HSE Autos when I carried out a free HPI check on them. As for ones with TVs I’ll keep counting.
