Dear All, I've just collected a late rare 2001 Vogue SE from a deceased estate(yes Vogue SE). It is my plan to break it but if anyone wants to try and save it I'll offer it 'complete'. PLEASE read entire add before messaging. It has NO KEYS , been sitting for 5 years and I've never heard it run. It's black with cream leather and black wood. Please only make contact if you have a trailer, cash & asked your wife FIRST. The car is complete and original, circa 140k. To make life easier here are some answers to your questions. 1; It's broken, 2; No idea 3, Poor condition. £1500 NO OFFERS. Collection only from Lincolnshire. (,4.6 engine, factory cats, original radio, good black wood)
Thanks Richard, yes Clarion Services no longer exists, however their only employee who new well how to work on the Diversity radio has moved to OEM services. Circa £100 for a code delete, new LED bulbs to protect screen and an AUX cable installed. Great value in my opinion.
I have a Clarion Diversity radio with a GOOD SCREEN, but sadly no code.... I used to use Clarion Services UK to service, repair and replace bulbs but it looks like they no longer exist. Is there another company out there that can do work on these radios, especially finding codes? Many thanks
I'm not convinced.my restoration budget can stretch that far. Yes it's the correct badge. Thanks for recommendation.
I'm just completing a minor restoration on my 30th Anniversary before putting her up for sale. She is great condition, sensible / low owners and mileage but sadly missing her rear "30th Anniversary Edition" boot badge. If anyone has one lying around please let me know.
When covering the sunroof panel only fold over the front and rear ends, just cut off the sides along the board otherwise it will be to thick to go in guides. When overlapping at the front and rear I use lots of material to make sure it will never come unstuck.
I do it a slightly different way. The cassette is held in by 6 bolts. I put the fwd to seats as far back as possible, upright and headrests up as high as they can go. Loosen the front two bolts a little and remove the rear four. This allows the cassette to drop down and not have to disconnect the drain pipes electrics etc. At the rear of the guides there are two white V shaped clips the need to be removed to stop the board going back. I also unbolt one runner at the rear (Phillips screw X2) with a little gentle force it does pop out and sometimes a 45degree turn. I use AS trim material which is thicker so don't bother putting those funny four fiddly springs back. Good luck.

Not all Holland & Holland's registered new as H&H. About 50% registered as HSE Autos. I've kept a close register of them over the years and have located around 40.
It's a few years since I posted this topic and again I find myself needing a diversity code. Anyone figured it out?
The last update discs that are available and compatible with the P38 systems are 2014/15. So not ridiculously outdate.
I'm afraid my Holland & Holland doesn't warrant such expense. I'd be interested to see what they would recommend / charge though.
That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Many thanks, I'll keep you updated on my progress. I may just do the centre console as this has faded the most and easy to remove.
The Holland & Holland has a mat finish so certainly don't want to turn it to gloss Shellac.
Linseed / Teak was certainly more what I was thinking of.
Hoping to find someone who has already tried this.
Any thoughts of a quick and cheap way to put some life back in the wood. Can I use teak oil?
They are both amazing at what they do but likewise I'm keen to see how they get on with a P38. It's rare to have factory sat nav and did you spot the rear sun blinds!
Many thanks for above info, I've been to LR Main Dealer and they said they do not keep service information on record for cars this old. It looks as if the first owner had the accident but potentially repaired the car himself. I'm hoping to find someone who knows it.
Dear All, I've just purchased a genuine Holland & Holland blind on ebay and was pleasantly surprised when it turned up. Genuine low mileage and complete. But sadly no service history or any paperwork whatsoever, nothing. It's going to be a relatively simple restoration project and will be up for sale once complete. The only question I have is does anyone know of it's previous owners / history? Current plate X707POF and previously W7JPH from new until 2016. I'd be interested to here from old owners. Philip
Ive got a second hand set of original factory side steps that I'd like to install to my P38. I've got all the brackets etc the only thing I need to buy is the threaded riv nuts to go into the pre drilled holes in chassis. Due to the limited space between chassis / sill I can't get my tool in. I've seen people use 'loose bolts' any recommendations on size needed or alternative options?
I'm sure it's been asked lots of times but I'm struggling to find the answer. I want to get my wheels refurbished on my 2001 Vogue and know they should be more chrome than silver. What is the paint colour and does anyone know the centre cap part number. I'm really looking for 100% originality. Tks.
