Hmmm, I was expecting that.. :)

What about the Billies?

Just found this interesting artical.

What's the consensus of opinion on poly bushes? I've fitted them with good results on TVRs.

Thanks for that Gilbert. I'll put it on my lift tomorrow and check out those items.

Interesting. It has just had an MOT so I assume there isn’t any wear In the suspension parts.

I have just had a full set of Grabber AT3s fitted on the 18” wheels, these are standard size They have only done about 50 miles, maybe slightly more.

To be honest I don’t think the handling was any better with the road tires it had on before although these were not a name brand that I would pick!

Part of me thinks I’m being too fussy but on the other hand we are talking about a very expensive car, (at the time) and I must admit thinking about it, my same year TD5 disco with mud terrains fitted and a 2 inch lift handled better.

Bit of advice please.

I recently converted my recently acquired P38 from springs back to air. All went well and it drives..... well, floats along.

The air works well, does its job and keeps all 4 corners up. My concern is, are the dampers doing their job? They are the original 19 year old dampers that are not leaking.

Straight roads are fine. Rough pot holed, unmade lanes are handled brilliantly, (in my opinion compared to our RAV4 for instance). Speed humps are dispatched with ease.

The big, "BUT" is country lanes, switching right, left, right etc are awful. The car steers like a boat, it induces travel sickness in my wife who never suffers that way. I could outrun it down the lanes in a 1.2 Micra! It actually doesn't seem that safe if trying anywhere near, "pressing on".

My Mercedes ML320 is like a sports car by comparison.

Are my dampers shot? Do they all do this? Can the situation be improved? If so, what are the best ride dampers available?

Please don't say, "TADTS". Pleeese!

Supply and demand as usual.

We get that with TVR Parts. Anything that is specific to TVRs is usually ridiculously expensive. Often we find the same generic part at a quarter of the price. I just sold a set of TVR alloy wheels for nearly £1000 yet a set of my Vogue wheels and very good tyres on eBay haven't had a look at 400 quid!

Just experimenting with picture loading. By George I think I have it!

Thank you David.

It's worth enquiring.

Even if it's to give us all a bit of a laugh!

Bumper removed. That was far easier than I expected.

Pulled all three plug-in connectors from the three motors. Cleaned all terminals with contact cleaner, replugged them.

All washers now work! I took the opportunity to derust and treat a few bare areas on the chassis legs which had a bit of surface rust. A quick coffee and I shall put it all back together.

Happy bunny:)

Tomorrow is the tinkering day so it is on the list!

David. If you’re doing it this weekend it would be good if I could pop down for a socially distanced hello when you are carrying out the work.
Let me know.

The guy who is going to do mine will be taking out the whole roof section. Preparing it and fitting the new lining before fitting the whole assembly back into the car. I believe he has to remove the sunroof frame to get out the sliding panel to recover that as well so the whole job is more involved, hence I will happily leave it to him.

I would happily give you a hand this weekend but need to safely distance even more so at the moment as my wife is going into hospital this week for an operation.

I am paying more than £250 but am having the sunroof done as well. Happy to pay an expert. I’d rather convert the car back to air suspension than do the lining which is what I did!

I can hear the pump work for the front windscreen but not for the rear so I will dive into there tomorrow and check it out. Thanks for the info.

Surely its worth at least £250 each to have someone do a very good job on your car.

Thanks for that. I will take a peek. How is it that my picture has appeared in the post above yours, when I previewed it there wasn't a picture!

Probably been asked to hundred times. My rear windscreen washer isn't working, probably hasn't worked since I bought the car about six weeks ago.

A bit of Internet reading has shown that quite often it is the pump. Am I right in assuming there are three pumps on one windscreen bottle? If so, I can see the bottle underneath the battery. Can this be accessed through the offside front wheel arch after removing the liner or is there a better method?

Thanks in advance.
