That’s a good question. Look forward to seeing the answer!

Thought I would have a go at just copying a picture from PistonHeads and knocking out the first img in brackets. It acts as a link but not put the picture up. Thought this might work as an easier option but sadly not.

Yes it is Joe. I have known him on the sideline for about 15 years I guess.

Edited so the picture shows up. Remove the [/img] so you just have the link, click the picture icon and paste the link into the box that pops up.

Can someone let me know how to post a picture please.

Will do.

An update. Spoke to a friend of mine today who reminded me that a friend of his does car upholstery as well as other bits and pieces on cars. He is usually working on American cars, a bit of customising or a full fit out.
I visited him today and he has booked it in for Monday week.
Happy with that as I do know him having shared tall stories over a few beers at a few parties in the past! He also works 7-8 miles from me. Result as I wasn’t really looking forward to tackling this myself. Give me an engine rebuild or chassis work any day!

Happy to share my experience or give anyone a hand locally if called upon.

Tom has a couple but sadly they are worse than mine! It’s really strange how these age.
The two he had were both bubbling on the uprights whereas mine has bubbled on the horizontal section.

Will consider the door as an option.

Tom is checking his stock.

If I go for the door, I have a 4x4 that goes down a muddy lane!

Sadly no P38s

There is a huge breaker in Crawley not too far from me. Worth a call.

Ouch!

A case of, you want it and we’ve got it!

TBH. If one doesn’t turn up I will have to pay that figure to at least achieve what I want and not some secondhand bit of rubbish. The breakers in Wales offered me one which was already bubbling for £45!

No 9 Is correct.

What do you mean by not cheap?

I found one at a breakers in Wales. They only wanted £100 for a secondhand one! How we all laughed!

The near side, rear passenger door rubber, external glass seal has perished for some strange reason.

I can’t find one anywhere and wondered if someone. (anyone) would have one sitting around that they wouldn’t mind parting with?

I would really appreciate you guys having a look in your garages.

Thanks.

Thanks again.

I have the handbook so will look it up and hopefully it is in there. Happy days.

Thank you for that.

If I go down the key blade route what is the EKA code and how do you enter it!

Unfortunately when I bought my P38 recently it only came with one key.

I know the day will come when I can’t find the key or some other age-related misdemeanour!

What is the best route to obtain a spare?

Thank you for your kind offer.

I have emailed a couple of suppliers this evening and will see what they say. Watch this space.

Where did the word reserves come from?

Just to reiterate I have garage facilities! I am also shielding but being very sensible and can have a distanced meet up to discuss it sometime if you feel like it.

Hi David. Sounds good to me I have reserved garage facilities here, a double open garage and another with a two poster.

You would be good to hear other peoples experience of doing this if at all possible.
