I bet Orangebean's already in negotiation. If not for the amp, I bet he's already asked about the boot badge. :-)

Way ahead of you there BPSM. Of course I've messaged him about the boot badge.

lmao.

He wants 600 quid for a 15 year old amp. Lord knows what price he'll concoct for a hard to find boot badge.

Just as a heads up, this is the seller that sold me the "mint condition" bonnet and lower tailgate for my last car that looked like they'd come off the titanic.

Same guy that sent me a seat base in a completely different colour to the one in the photo on his ad. Not only was the colour different but the handle for moving the seat was different but he denied it was different even when I sent him photos comparing what his ad showed and what he sent me.

Just had a quick look at his site: He certainly seems to have a different idea of what 'NEW' means too: Item: 292137253847

It is irritating when photos and descriptions are so different: Of late I have been giving bad feedback when this happens,
similarly when vendors say they are 'in the UK' but they are not..... At least e-bay has kept my P38 on the road though....

Reasonably priced Autobiography. Doesn't look too shabby. Sell the picnic tables, walnut cup holder and number plate and i reckon you'll have your money back.

Cheap, yes, Autobiography probably not! Don't think they started Autobiographys in 96. Haven't got The Book to hand to check.

I’ve been keeping an eye on a nice blue p38, 132399153607, but it’s bloody top of Yorkshire from my working out ☹️. It’s not overheating, but missing the sunroof!

On the Classic, possibly, but they even didn't start producing P38's until late '94 :)

Yes, the fact he’s had it 9 yrs shows he must of looked after it, 30 mins from you, 4 hours from me, think I’m gonna let it go ☹️. Trying to stick within the 2 hr travelling range

Reunited with The Good Book!
"Most important of the changes was that for 1997 there would be an Autobiography custom finishing service....
.... however Autobiography vehicles did not become available immediately...
.... The Autobiography service was to be inaugurated in spring 1997 by a special edition which would include Carin, TV and video."

Loads of fakes out there

The Vogue 132399153607 looks interesting, but put in the cost of a TH short engine and it gets less so!
Wonder why he didn't mention that it was on LPG?

I’m 50/50 on bidding, the distance is first, second is oil in water, the other way round is fair enough, but where is the oil pressure high enough to over ride the water pressure, on water cooled oil coolers below filters I’ve seen it happen, but that’s a high pressure point ! I need to have a look at spare lump i have in the garage to see if water is running around the filter holder

The oil feed to rockers and the water gallery are pretty close together in the head gasket aren't they Chris?
I might be making that up- just trying to visualise last time I had the head off!

North of 200,000 miles tho'. Would make me go Hmmn due to potential of other important bits getting towards EoL.

Even on my puny 4,000 miles a year. Grumpy ole guys don't get out much!

That's true Clive. My 270k + miles VSE has had, new Tophat motor (190k), Autobox, Torque Converter (at 220k), Couple of diffs, Props, Several sets of discs, 3 water pumps, 3 radiators, few wheel bearings, 3 sets of airbags and 1 set of coils (!), 5 full sets of tyres.
Quite a long list!
