Can't really see much from the diagram Richard. Looks more like a flexible rubber bung that presses into the bracket.
Sometimes a lathe is better for some parts, but if it needs to be flexible, there are flexable filaments available. I haven't printed with them yet.
Doing the cad drawing is half the work.
Suggestion ........ if you can send me a good one to take measurements from, I will draw it up,. That will produce an .stl file that can be printed.
It is going to trial and error so I can print it out in ABS to begin with, send it back to you, try it for fit and adjust as necessary. When we are happy with the dimensions, then decide what material to make it out of.

That would be easy but the problem is that nobody has one. It's the same on all Biturbo models of that era and there's a specialist breaker who has a number of cars. That bush is missing on every one he has. I don't think it is going to be rubber or anything like that as it fits into the bracket and the column rotates in it. If it was rubber then I doubt it would crack and fall out either! I've got some Nylon left over from making my EAS calibration blocks and my son-in-law has a woodworking lathe so was going to see if we could make something that would do the job but it's a bit of a problem not knowing what it should look like.

I'll make some more enquiries and see if I can find someone that has one who is willing to let it out of there sight for a while.

Or take measurements with a pair of calipers and let me have a sketch.

Passed last year the same. Different tester. Will be moving next month 1500 round trip so hope to find another friendly tester.

Changed every interior bulb to LED, including puddle lamps, glove box etc.
Makes a massive difference. Prior to change I had all the illumination of a birthday candle.... now I can actually see things.

Not mine but more work on the Vogue. Spent most of yesterday afternoon sitting in the boot with a soldering iron and lots of bits of wire replacing the dead DSP amp with one of Marty's 4 door amp replacements. Went reasonably smoothly, only a couple of minor problems. It involves cutting the wiring to the DSP amp plug and soldering to a set of 4 door amps on a plate. There's only a few inputs to the DSP, left and right audio, power, ground and a wake up wire but the speakers are wired to it individually so there's a bass and mid/tweeter feed to each door. Marty has managed to get the wiring so it is a case of matching the colours (each wire is labelled too) and the only one that I got wrong was the RHF bass. The wires are Green/Black and Black/Green, only problem is that there is also a pair of Light Green/Black and Black/Light Green which are for the input from a phone if one was fitted. The bass outputs use thicker wires than the others and realised when I noticed I had a pair of thick wires left over. Also had two pairs of Orange and Orange/Black wires left over and it turns out that these are the sub feeds into and out of the DSP so they needed to be linked through. Ran the two pairs for the rear feeds through to the front and connected them to the plug into the head unit. I'd called Marty and left him a message earlier asking him to confirm the situation with the sub feeds and he called me back at exactly the right moment. Trying to work out how to push the terminals into the plug body and he pointed out a little sliding bit of plastic on the end that holds them in place (in addition to the tang....).

Tested it and found no sound from the front left bass speaker. Checked all the wiring and couldn't find a problem so pulled the door panel to find the speaker seized solid. So after about 3 hours and having to get out of the boot to hop around for a while every so often to convince my legs they were still there, she's now got a fully working stereo system.

My radio doesn't work due to the missing amp, I'll push mine to Peterborough and you can do mine LOL

As Marty is away now working in NZ for a few months, if you can find a P38 with the door amps in a breakers and get the amps and a lump of loom for each, I could do a copy of Marty's unit. Or just 2 stereo Class D audio amps and 4 crossovers and start from scratch.

125 milesof mainly A road today. After lock down it seemed like a transcontinental road trip!

All perfect except without the "sidelight LH" warning and beep I left the bloody headlights on and had to beg a jumpstart. Ah well. The new tyres were super quiet 👍

Haven't been to Orkney for a few years now - used to go annually at least to dive the wrecks in Scapa Flow. Are you 'mainland' or even further afield?

I was really tempted to go across for a self-catering break this fortnight, probably won't, but it might be nice to know there's someone similarly deranged close by who might help in a crisis!

I spent weekend before last removing the hot start 'fix' but did it in a way that it can be put back with a quick jiggle of connectors. So far its starting fine without it. Probably helped by the new starter motor which really spins up.

Last weekend I changed the heater hoses and bits that are related. Easy job and glad I did. The hoses were well past it.

129,000 miles today, only done around 4500 since the MOT!

Need to grow a pair of bollix and give her a proper run, always fancied going to the Europe..

Chased a little rattle in the dash, which turned out to be a little rattle in the steering column shroud. Pull it off, new globe into the ignition barrel light, zip tied and taped a few things and then tried to hold all four pieces of the shroud at the same time and get in some screws. Finally worked it out but not before having the usual conversation that goes ..... I really wish I had left this alone!

No more rattle though.
