Oi, there is nothing wrong with an oil burner! Mine gave me 32mpg coming down to London yesterday! A bit better than the 18-19 i used to get with the Beast.
I have a big box of matches I can send you, Morat!!
End of the summer would interest me as we're off to Sicily in April. We'll see how the machine performs on that trip.
If you go down in the summer, let me know.
What the fukk makes that worth 12.5k?
Unfortunately I am quite OCD about grammar and that has to be the worst piece I have ever read!! I had to read it twice to understand it.
It looks like a 10 year old wrote it.
That is what my other half says about riding in ours, Marty! She loves the comfort and says it is the most comfortable car she has ridden in (and that includes the three 38s and a 322 previously owned). I will never buy another Vogue and will stick with the Sports in the future. The ride is a bit harsher, obviously but comfort wise it is unbeatable.
SWMBO is so impressed with it, she has agreed to do a 'Thelma and Louise' next summer. The poxy doctors have banned me from flying again (we'll see about that if I win the Lottery lol) so the only way we'll get decent holidays is to drive and as she said, it's the right car for cruising the highways and byeways of Europe. Our first trip is going to be Sicily. As we're both retired now, it doesn't matter how long we take and at the moment we're planning on 4-6 weeks. We have family in Bergamo so that will be a port of call for a few nights. I've already said to her we won't be starting before 9am and will be parked up by 4pm lol
You'll find nearly everyone here started on there until we got fed up of the total LACK of knowledge on there. Also most of us are based in the UK though I think we have members in France, Spain, Canada and the Philippines.
Any details about your motor and location?
George, this book is fukking hilarious!!
This is exactly the reason I was so careful where the Beast went!! I knew you wouldn't let just anyone have it, Gilbert.
I'm really pleased to hear that!! You know I was having second thoughts about selling it. At least it has gone to a good home. It's not the weather for doing those gaskets atm. It's not a massive leak and has survived over a year so can hang on until the warmer weather arrives.

but only as a temporary measure. It's now had the jumper removed and a replacement thermal switch fitted.
How is it running, Gilbert? Your pal got a bloody good deal there when you consider some of the problems the guys here have.
Gilbert put a jumper wire across my thermal which meant it all worked just dandy.
I've just paid £2.96 for it, George ................... you're going to need a lot of sale to get rich.
As it is cold weather and it's time for the glow plugs to do some work, then they should be your first point of call. Pretty cheap from the Bay of E.
I might see if the nice boys at our local car wash will do underneath mine. They're always admiring the car so let's see how much they like it. They're Iraqis and Afghans so they will do anything for a few bob. lol
Has it made a difference?
You haven't jumped it lately, have you?
It may be a massive list but as proved in this case, it is one worth keeping. It doesn't sit on your server so it isn't taking up any space on your HD.
