Bloody hell i'm well chuffed. I just dropped on to a set of 4 Comet alloy wheels on eBay for £80 and only just up the road from me. Wheels look to be in excellent condition will just need to get the Continentals taken off my Hurricanes and put on the Comets. Luckily I will be able to sort this through work as we deal with a number of tyre companies. Anyway I will have a set of hurricane wheels for sale shortly if any one is interested.

It is a bit mental over there. Welcome to the really good no great RR P38A forum.
Rob.

I'm pretty sure it's a Westminster.

Hi all.
Mine also has a tendency to wander. Any opinion on using poly bushes when doing the job.
Rob.

Happy new year all.
Advice please. Went out to the RR yesterday turned the key and the sat nav screen is white. Wasn't like this the last time I used the car. I assume it's the CD player unit in the boot that's decided to give up. I have tried a different disk on different. Radio/cd is working fine. I read somewhere that when this happens it can mute the volume? Any help much appreciated as always.
Rob.

I have a treafirma fitted to mine and its fine. Doesn't make the steering heavy and feels the same as a std damper.

Great read and agree with what's said. Buy a decent one now while you can. I certainly won't be selling mine.

No, I'm sorry. There's not a single modification on that car that shows any taste whatsoever. The paint might be a decent job but it's the wrong colour for pretty much anything and the two tone bonnet is hideous. You might just get away with the sort of thing on a Mustang. In Vegas.

The rest of it is just stick on tat. The wheels are horrific, the vents are pure wannabe L322 and the rash of badges on the bootlid makes me thing of a pebble dashed toilet the morning after.

I'm out!

You like it then 😅

Success it's working. Used the connection process in my last post and ran the software as an administrator and in windows xp compatibility mode and synced straight away. The fault was showing as rear left sensor out of range. I have reset the EAS and will now see what happens. Thanks to all for the help and advice.

Thanks for your very kind offer. My laptop has no PCMCIA slot which is a bugger. I have a windows desktop system again with no port but I could put a serial port card in as there are some spare expansion slots just a bit awkward to use in the garage. The other thing I found today is this from the Landyzone forum.

The sequence is plug in the cable, turn on the laptop, open the software, turn on the ignition to position 2 start the software. The "STATUS =" button should turn from red to green if all is OK. If you change any settings you need to reinitialise the software and sometimes turn off the ignition and then on again before it will sync.

I don't know if this will make a difference but will try it when I have time. Thanks again for you kind offer.

Hi Chris.
Can't get a Green good idle box. Checked comms and changed ports also tried different USB ports. Also cheked the driver is the correct one for the USB adapter. Cleaned the obd plug with contact cleaner. Will have another go after work.
Rob.

I can't get things synchronised. In the RX box i just get a continuous stream of numbers and letters I do get some FF so the idle light flashes on and off I just cant get a steady stream of FFs. I'm wondering if its the USB adapter. The program is connected to the EAS as I can hear relays etc clicking and the dash beeps. Any ideas.
Rob.

Cheers thanks for that. I will try to get it connected later and see what it finds. I have been reading about the USB adapters and they seem as though they can cause problems. The seller I purchased from states that the cables are tested and 100% working. I will let you know later if it all works out.

Morning all.
I have received the obd cable and USB converter to use with the EAS unlock software form a seller on eBay but I'm not sure if it's right. I plug the obd cable in and ok however when connecting the USB adaptor to the obd cable I get the 35 max on the dash. This is all with no computer connected and the ignition on. As soon as I take the USB of the obd cable 35 max disappears from the dash. Can somebody please let me know if this is normal and how things should be.
Rob.

I use they spray on top of the wax to maintain the finish. Every so often I strip the whole lot off and start again buy using a polish normally Autoglym Super Resin Polish then a coat or two of Autoglym HD wax. Looks amazing when done. If the paint feels rough then a clay bar over the paint before doing all this is definitely worth doing.

Hi all.
Here's one for the detailing guys. Just tried this on my RR
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F271194201623
Amazing detailing spray. My car is Oslo Blue and on this it works a treat much better than the Autoglym spray I was using. Another thing it's only £6.95 on eBay or £19.95 for a 5ltr can.
Rob.

Cheers Gilbert.
I will get the EAS unlock software. I will get a nanocom when finances allow or perhaps Father Christmas willl bring me one. I have dropped a few hints. Weird thing about the faults I'm getting is they all occurred at low speed. Twice when in a traffic queue and yesterday while backing into the garage. So all faults at 5mph or less.
Rob.

Been out with the car today and twice it came up with EAS fault. Car still drove fine and didn't lower to the bump stops. After stopping and restarting the fault cleared and EAS goes back to normal. I really need to get a fault reader to find out the cause. I will see how it goes perhaps it might settle down as I have just pulled the valve block apart.
Rob.

Ho bloody ray. It's sorted. Valve block is fine. It was the bloody dryer oring the big one that seals the two halves. Air was pissing out of there so the system would never come up to pressure. Well I have certainly learnt a lot about the EAS and how it works so no bad thing there.
