Hi guys.....just an update and another issue that may be of interest.....onvestigate together!!!
Since I had her started (see post BCEM Again !) She has been in regular use on petrol still a rich miss on gas and only 1 flat battery due to the 5 year old leaving the reading lights on and car sat for 3 days ! However asked for keycode and it took it first time !!!! Amazing!!!
Anyway I still have the issue of rich on 1 bank and a miss due to this (stag 300-8) and ecu wont read on the 4.6 thor so will have to sort her however being a bit of a defector here.... I have a BMW X5 E53 4.4 ....let me off please as range rover used it and its a V8 ! Now the thing here is it may help us all ( I hope) she is on gas, all codes read amd is fine fsh runs superb no knocks ( right oil) 167k smooth and quick and on gas....makes the 4.6 look ecconomical (12. 7 round town on a good day and yes I have tried different MAF's)
Now I have had her since May this year, she has a sysrem called Elpigaz fitted, filsa ? System ? Anyone heard of this ? I plan on having them both sorted together and have a couple of issues with the BMW.
Checked for leaks and sorted them all however on cold (10 minuite) she will not have any of it smells of gas and lumps, when warm runs perfect 85% of the time rest of time she comes down to 500 then gos to stall them revs 800 rpm ( when slowing at junctions)
Any ideas ?
Hi guys.....that was quick! I fitted the repaired bcem and she ran great, took her for a run and stuff great, 3 weeks of bliss....well 2 flat batterys (new fuse box and battery fitted) and now battery went flat again and when charged now says "keycode lockout" again.
I have seriously spent more time and money on this car than any other, any advice guys ? Burn it ? I am getting so low on this car now, shes so so nice as well.
Hi all, ain't been on for a while. I have a problem with my ECU not accepting BECM. Basically I need to take both out to get them calibrated.
Can anyone please tell me where the engine ECU is on my 4.6 hse Thor engine.

Hi guys, still not resolved the gas issue but have since done a starter and shes runs great on petrol however now the boot wont open !
Unlocks fine on fobor key but when the boot release button is pressed all doors lock and unlock and thats it, any ideas ?
Hi guys I am not that good with computers editing etc but up until yesterday I thought I had a big problem coming my way and just want to share what I think resolved the matter for future help, also I am now going to start the LPG fault on her which seems to have now been there since I bought the car just over 12 months ago.
I am going to copy and paste the post I have placed at the end of "new problems clonks and stutters" below this post.

All I have left ( at the moment ! ) is the rich running on 1 bank (-25) when on LPG and I have just ordered a lead should be here tomorrow (AC STAG 300-8) to try and sort it out, as an ametuer I am starting from the lowest level possible and hope to be able to resolve the issue with a posotive outcome at the end of this post where I have fixed it ! and then maybe anyone in my area running the same system ( as there seems to be a lack of LPG support for this system down here ) I may be able to help as well.

In a previous post I did about rough running and continuing on here about the splutter I replaced the TPS bought from GSF new about 6 weeks ago, anyway she ran afterward the same now I know due to the misfire caused by fuel trims being rich on LPG (running on liquid gold at the moment !) anyway after about 3 to 4 weeks she developed the stutter and its like taking your foot off before yanking it down and worse at cruising speed with a proper stutter but no real pattern to it and seeing as I had done coil packs plugs (twice) leads and air leak tests were getting worried a compression test was next and a broken valve spring or the kind was going to be my next job, even harder to understand were the fact that she runs well for a 4.6 ( hard to believe I know in my case ) and is actually quick ( which is harder to believe ) at all ranges even in lazy mode and has seen many TDi's off away from the lights plenty of poke on country lanes ( not as much as body roll ! )so found it hard to have a compression issue.
Anyway today on the way to do the trans box she was getting progressively almost to the stage where I could not be bothered with the swap, anyhow some way we carry on and up on the ramp she went box out box in and down again ( about 2 hours ) as I drove her out firing on all 8 she started her stutter again worse after fitting the trans box than before ! (horror time wasted more time) I then decided that it may be MAF so disconnected it again on petrol and still the same no change at all running the same as before, so I then changed the TPS back to the old one before checking codes which showed MAF ( where I had disconnected it ) but apart from that all clear ( snap on reader ) I then headed off on the test drive ( scary these days ! ) and waited for the stutter you all know what its like its gonna happen and you just wait for it ! well guess what ? no stutter in 20 miles at all ! so am assuming the TPS new one is dead !
Now I could have gone on and on here looking for it as I had already replaced it but a stroke of luck I though lets see and it seems to have worked................fingers crossed and I will keep an update on this for everyone to see as I think its only fair on all those that help out with advice.
So now the LPG system to sort out, seriously thinking about taking the time and miles to see Simon as advice on here is about as good as it gets and I thank you all for that (if we meet you will understand I really do mean it ) and getting him to sort her out, love the car so much done so much just my budget is getting low.
Hi all, i am now suffering 2 more issues.
I have come away to clacton for a few days and whilst cruising on th A12 she started a random judder like she was about to cut out or change gear and a slight clonk seemed to sound, today this seems to be worse and happens every now and then whilst sitting at approx 40 mph and seems worse in lock up however holding her in position 3 seems to make no difference, gearbox rebuilt march done about 1500 miles since and smooth changing....no warnings messages on dash brand new battery and fuse box charge over 14 volts....if only it were that easy.
Slight whine fdom front diff at 25 MPH worse on de acceleration.
Sometimes when accelerated away from the lights hard clonks and the same on hard breaking.
Had an intermittent abs traction failure since i bought the car after it rains ! Could this beconnected ?
Dont know what to think gearbox or front diff ?
Now the LPG
Whilst i am up her i decided to have the LPG system serviced and went to sudbury today to have it done, i have been having a kind of missfire symptom the last while and as soon as the guy heard her he picked up on it, he read the fuel trims and one side was at minus 25 percent (rich) and so he reset the trims and switched her to petrol where she reset and settled down nicely but as soon as gas were switched on went back to 25 percent indicating a fault with the gas system so he tried for 4 hours to read the system but kept saying no LPG controller so points to a ecu fault (stag 300-8) he was speaking to the guy from lpg shop who tried remotely to connect but no success at all, he did say that the system i have may require a different lead as the one in use could sometimes be at fault when reading.
Help !
It seems when i fix a fault 2 more manifest themselves and i am seriously getting to my wits end with the car now as i have spent a fortune on it and its getting worse.
4.6 thor 2000 147000 miles as said recon box new fuse box and battery new coil packs plugs and leads, new throttle position sensor as well.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

4.6 Thor 2000 on LPG shall I use BPR6ES at 0.7mm ?
she has a slight miss, new coil packs and leads on gas or petrol maf connected or disconnected the same worse in lock up on motorway as she juders.
Well the gearbox is sorted now new problems !
The 2 are un related I know and I have a few ideas just want some input please.
As far as running goes NGK plugs fitted 3 K ago, new leads and coils ( new delphi )on idle she sound and feels a bit lumpy and when driving especially cold it feels like a miss when warm it goes away abit (after 10 miles on the motorway ) but she seems to be lacking torque in lock up and likes to kick down...never did before, at hills she seems to need an extra push where before she flew up, same on gas and petrol no change, new Champions ordered and thinking of changing the Maf...right route ? also what gap shall I do on the plugs ?
Now the ramble or whatever it is.......on a quick take off or braking there seems to be a click think its from the rear end, if you kick her down there is a rumble from the rear..not nice but running there is no vibration and the rear mirror is stable ( normally if the rear diff is on the way out this tends to vibrate.....mind it is a P38 ! )
I am thinking prop or joint maybe ? just this clicking is throwing me out.
Mind my mates L322 he did a valve block and RHS to last week wont reset or go up or down so he is off to the stealers monday ! so this time I have the right end I hope !
Doing the box change today, read so many different posts on what oil to use............dex 2 or dex 3 ? Help!

Hi guys yet another issue to solve !
Over the last 4 weeks I have suffered battery drain, last charged in between christmas and new yer and this morning completely flat ! I mean flat flat.
Battery less than 7 months old 13 volts idle car charging at 14.38
No lights left on inside the car at all
No extra consumer units on, sat nav main power disconected and when I bought it RF receiver was disconected as well which I re connected and had no issues with it even leaving the car for 2 weeks and still loads of power
battery is a yussa 5000 and in good health
seems the previous owner had the same issue and had not found the cause............I dont know where to start ? still have to do gearbox and thought while I am "off road" I will try and fix this as well.
Last time went flat in 4 days ! seems a strong drain even for a p38 !
