So you've got a week of "Shall I tax it?" :)
tbh, you haven't got much lawn left to lose so you may as well wait to tax it until the first of December and dirt track it round the garden for a week :)

Why pay for 3 weeks tax that I haven't used?!
STOP PRESS- just had a text. Being delivered Saturday morning!!

Mine is now in it's 5th week on the driveway while fully taxed. But this afternoon- new engine in again!

Did you have it wrapped in a ribbon for Christmas? I understand you can't wait.

Wouldn't want to mar the turf on the croquet lawn Morat. What would the neighbours say?

Reading this reply just before calling it a day, so outside again to make the pic. Engine is just in, wrapped in cellophane as seen by Marty for the damp of the night.

It was a bugger to get the converterbolts in, laying comfy on my back in gravel. I had the sump already torqued so had to do the bolts through the inspection holes in the sump. Drop of locktite on it, put it in a 13 mm socket and with 2 extensions trying to turn them in. In a new flexplate that has exact drilled holes for the bolts. Bolt falls from socket in bellhousing or directly next to me in gravel. Go from under the car looking for bolt. Repeat previous steps, get a drop of locktitie on my glasses etc. But it is in!

Tomorrow I stay upright for the rest.

I think you are going to win Mark. The weather has been so damp earlier in the week it's slowed them down having to get everything dried off before they can do any preparation or paintwork so it doesn't look like I'm going to be getting mine back before the middle of next week. This is what it looked like at 10:30 this morning.......

Sorry to hear that Mark, especially being dependable on someone else and can't put any pressure on it.

How did you get in touch with him in the first place? Ebay? a specialist site?
