It's still rather ..... undeveloped and now funded by Saudi, so beer is difficult.

There is s very good Range Rover spares place there, started by an Emirati Captain who trained at Sandhurst.

I've only done this once myself, and just recently, although it has been done many times over the years.

I pulled up the reservoir carefully (not to break anything) to raise the water level higher than the heater and top radiator hose (mines a Thor).

Then blew through that damn little pipe (or you can use one of those small compressors).

Filled to the seam of the tank, started the engine and squeezed the top rad hose and also the heater pipes and watched air releasing in the reservoir.. You can see tiny bubbles emerging in the reservoir from that small pipe.

Level went down after a while.

Topped up and then kept an eye on the coolant level over the next few weeks.

I must say I had over thought it as it was very easy.

HTH a bit.

Were you in Sharjah before?

I'm the victim whose aluminium radiator was lost on the way to Dubai ..... actually, it was Portugal last July.

I'm USD 500 down and no response to e mails now.

Actually, I'm more disappointed than angry.

What to do now?

Hi Sloth,

Sorry to butt in here but I can't reach you via the mail here.

Do you still want to sell the GROM?

Please let me know.

Cheers.

Hi Sloth,

PM system not working .... I'm interested.

e mail me please

The ones in the air bags themselves.

Thanks, I didn't know that.

So I have to go out after dark ........ ooooo

OK, time to own up.

Replaced two O rings and now holding up nicely ..... the O rings must have been bad from day 1.

Just got a UV torch ....... what am looking for? Blobs, spray, streaks?

Well done.

Sure the suspension is not near the bumpstops?

To answer the question, I'd recommend oem.

I did this yesterday ... front left hand side, LHD. (thanks, Marty).

I was astonished that it was so easy. All I had to do was detach the horizontal cabling to allow the lock to be manoeuvred out of the door.

Hardest bit was remembering which rod did what!

Oh, an then repairing the door card which had been manhandled a bit.

I bought mine for the same reasons as you .... must be 3 years ago now.

They give a surer ride and allow faster cornering than the standard ones, but I'm not sure if they are worth the extra.

O rings not very good, I've replaced both front sets now and will also do the rear.

It is stamped on the key.

If you can't find it. I'll go and take a pic of mine (about to open a bottle of red now).

Yes, I replaced mine some months ago.

The lid was a bit stiff, but now it springs up to attention when I open it.

Quite pleased, really, with little things!

Oh, I had thought of helping the old dud strut with a spring, but couldn't be bothered in the end.

Hi All,

Had the system gassed up two weeks ago and all the gas is gone.

They added a coloured tracer dye.

I'm going to have a look myself now for any sign of leaks before I take it back to them (it is the dealer ....).

To be sure that it is the evaporator, do I just eliminate leaks from everywhere else?

Hi All,

Hope this is ok.

I have a Faultmate (the small one without the screen) that is spotless and has two P38 Licences (although they are VIN locked).

Time to dispose of it.

Thought I'd ask here before offering elsewhere.

Cheers.

That's a very good point about the steering box alignment.

My steering developed a small wobble after the front wheels were aligned for the MOT here and I'm still trying to cure it.
