Hi everyone,
Has anyone used a nano to re sync , and could run me through it , thanks

Heat shields can be replaced, but to be honest I’ve run mine without them the past 6 yrs, no problems, no melted leads etc.

There are two connections on the solenoid, are you definitely touching the correct one, easy to pop the cable on the wrong one, which is the first one you will see.. seems strange to just go dead.

I totally agree with what your saying Don , to get them out is a joke, I also agree with Richard, ( even though he used studs ), I used to pull them up to 70/75lb ,
I’ve done quite a few head jobs, from memory I only got 2 of them to pull up to the second 90 degree.
Only had one strip a thread, on my car ,, following the 20nm, 90/90

Walked past mine, thought to myself, can you be bothered to sort this out,, answer,, hmmmm,, no enthusiasm for it at the minute,,
It’s not moved for at least 8-9 months now, might throw a bucket of water at it tomorrow,,

I’d be afraid to get in one of your cars, there always so clean, mine gets loaded up with all sorts for the dump and moving stuff around, lol

That looks like the place to sell em, 5900 was a good price, if I got half of that I’d be happy lol

Only just seen the head bolt saga, I had similar once, use a halfords 10 mm plug socket ( 16mm ) and a breaker bar, I use a 3/4 bar as no flex, not had one I can’t get undone yet, if slightly rounded I use a grip tight socket ( Chicago brand)

got spare engine frome one going to scrap if had space I would of had whole motor

Don’t ever scrap a 4.6, the cranks alone are worth 200-300, becoming rarer to find these days

If your looking at swapping the base just for the heater element you might aswell just repair the existing, or buy a set from eBay/amazon etc and fit to yours changing the plug so wiring fits, as Richard says, a pig of job for seats that don’t really get that warm, I fitted the hotter stats and a set I bought my mum get hotter and are a lot quieter to warm up

Sounds like me, I stopped on the way back from hospital once, had just had tendon repair after a slip with a grinder, carrier bag over hand and I’m under a car 😂😂,
Take it easy my friend, it’s not going anywhere and if you pull the stitches your be cursing..

Sometimes when you give the latch a knock, they come out of super lock, one of the best things I found to get through the window gap was a fire poker, it’s slim enough, but also sturdy enough to take the motorised part out if necessary,, if it does unlock itself, my suggestion would be to cut the wire for super lock ( pink if I recall correctly) , but if you get to that stage we can confirm that then

What’s normal issues ?

So lpg has been mentioned, yet there cutting down on the places that sell it, it seems going green with lpg is not something this country likes,, the idea of finding a crashed Tesla and swapping out the engine would be interesting, but as most of us don’t have a ramp and garage we can leave it in makes it a bit harder,, even if I fitted a electric motor I’d have to have something rigged up to give that lovely exhaust note

I’ll drop mine round tomorrow, 🤣😂,, that is a credit to you, well done

Plenty available over here, but what condition would it be in after shipping,, hopefully your find one local,

They don’t like the competition 🤣,, keep up the good work

So glad I not the only one who can’t stand that twat..

The bit I don’t understand, the early classics are horrible to drive, like being in a rowing boat, why would anyone want to drive round in that unless there doing a complete overhaul of the suspension and interior to be honest I wouldn’t go anywhere near them.

£245k, are they having a laugh, I’m pretty sure if I looked I could find a smashed up Tesla or similar, even paying someone to swap it out I’m sure I’d be quids in..
