If you've got the plastic boot liner, it will slide nicely over the carpet, I've had mine in rangie and a ford puma, lol, that was a squeeze, as Richards says, keep the straps short and engine hoist will get it in no problem, as for moving afterwards, that's a different story,, heavy bugger,,

Hmm, looks like you've got a mixture of old and newer, on mine it doesn't have the box, amp is inside screwed to speaker base, just googled the number on box, it's says door amp ! Another possibility is your sub is from a disco,,

Read all this about lpg injectors, I now know one thing for sure,, I'll leave it to the experts,,

I guess that explains the slightly less than OEM look of the wires coming out of the sub. It looks like someone has drilled a hole for the cables then tried to seal it black sealant.

That makes sense if they've fitted a different amp inside it.

Used cars are full of mysteries from previous owners!

I think the crap drilling and black sealant is factory, unless the same guy owned mine aswell

It's a bit of a bugger you need it now, I'm just about to get mine top hat lined, and have a 60d bottom end that's coming out, I only bought it so I was mobile while I built my original engine up, will have a chat with Dave down at east coast rangies, if he's got any slipped liner blocks , might be able to sort out a cheap block that can go straight to v8 developments, then on to you, let me know what you think..

Mine only has a filter on the inlet side, nothing after the injectors, and the many I've worked on recently were exactly the same, I presume that's a standard install

If you need , I can grab one and give it a measure, I've only once used the original o rings when I removed the fuel rail, had leaks everywhere, change them all every time now. Think there 6mmx2mm

Can't hear them with the bonnet closed. Just gave me a surprise when I opened it. Thought cams, followers and rockers were all shot to bits!
Never lived with sequential before. Single point is noiseless, apart from the occasional loud bang!

If mine plays up anymore there will be a bloody great bang, just after I've lit the match

heated screen doesn't work at all either :(

Whenever I've had screens not working, always found it's the earth tags have come unsoldered, if, when you change the foam under the panel with wipers, your come across them, centre of screen, just plonk the soldering iron on them and they normally reattach. I love my heated screen 😁

I can't see it being a problem, I doubt if you'd even notice a difference in switch over time either, these things get warm so quickly.. I'm looking at doing the same with mine, it's bloody ridiculous that they plum the vaporiser in the way they do, my hoses are higher than the expansion tank,, I have lots of fun bleeding it, lol, have to lift expansion up as far as I can,,

Hmm, another excuse to fit the foam I bought months ago but never got around to doing. This was mine a couple of winters ago but by last winter I was down to only a couple of strips on the passenger side and one thin 1" wide clear strip on the drivers.

Time for a stone to mysteriously hit the windscreen, lol

No problem

14 October 2016 - 15:01

Mine click like castanets, but after a few minutes they go quiet, you don't notice when the bonnet is down anyway. If someone can guide me to the quiet type, I know Dave at east coast rangies just bins them, so next time I'm down there will have a chat with him, possibly get the injectors and plugs for a reasonable price

The one that I'm most interested in at the moment is this one. Not far from me either:
Only problem is, the guy selling won't communicate at all. Doesn't answer questions, nor will he answer requests for me to view.
Sounds a bit fishy to me.
BTW the wheels and the tints are not to my taste (thankfully he's putting the standard ones back on) and it's green, my least favourite RR colour (sorry Chris!) but at the right price, and if I get a chance to give it a look over first, I might just go for it...

I'm with you on those wheels, there gross, mine aren't half as offensive as those,,
Omg, have a look at eBay number 232102483297, how to destroy an autobiography

There's one in London with head gasket prob, finishes today eBay 272407130104
Get that dragged to me (30 miles) and I'll do the gaskets, looks reasonable and very cheap at the moment. Might be worth thinking about, or could be that cheap that engine goes to v8 Dev first for top hats,,

14 October 2016 - 16:27

No probs, I know when he stripped a system out and put on eBay, he only got 30 quid, so said he isn't bothering anymore

15 October 2016 - 08:56

Brake linkage ? hmmm, that's confusing for sure, unless he means a hose or bracket where hose connects..

16 October 2016 - 05:42

For the right price, not bad. Got a knappa interior, could be a nice motor. I know of a 2001 for 2300. But it doesnt have lpg. Black, cream knappa, SS exhaust ( new ) ball joints replaced, good runner, but to be honest I'd have a look at the one Richard mentioned , apart from the cool springs, easy enough to put back on eas, I've got rear bags, valve block, pump, if needed

16 October 2016 - 05:47

This is one I've been thinking about, they've had for a while now, and cheap eBay 222278365230, gives you cash to either install yourself, or have lpg fitted

16 October 2016 - 06:32

Fingers crossed, could be as easy as key sync, or new fuse box ,, no spraying it bright illuminous orange,, let's hope you can get it for a steal
