Chris - as you know I'm no expert but when I messed up my tickover with the wrong TPS I had no diagnostics and putting the old correct TPS back on made no difference. With Gilberts advice I elongated the TPS holes and brought the idle down. But you can try this without elongation - just undo screws and you can rotate TPS while running to test. As you know, I got the RSW EAS 4 and by simply resetting the adaptives the idle came right with TPS in normal position.
Yes - very smart - P38 isn't bad either............
And, 'How to pull a Spanish concrete gate post over with a Range Rover rook rack' - sunshade cord got caught - no ill effects to RR !!
Ok I know it's not the Range Rover (before its time) but I have to show off - it does have 4 wheel drive (does this qualify ?) my expedition to Tunisia ................
Well travelled ! Manila !!
Not so far but -
Here we are leaving Switzerland
Well it's a long way - here is the place mark on Google Earth - does that work ? Lat 36°45'51.74"N Long 3°56'2.98"W
Can't get the place mark to appear here so you will have to do with LatLong !
Here is the trip down to the coast in my peugeot - hand held camera ! Down trip
Sounds great - you know I'm stuck in Spain so can't join in - where do you hold it ? Of course next year you could come to Spain .................
Now I'm scared to look at mine too closely - working on the 'What the eye doesn't see'.......gambit
'On the Job' - just a reminder in case you missed it before ! This was my first Range Rover (bought from the Duke of Marlborough)
I used to film major Air shows like Farnborough and RIAT Fairford -see sample here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhsWpEGih2M
but having got there it was too cold for the picnic lunch
Top Of The World to You
That Robbo under bonnet shot is indecent ! How can you put us to shame like that. Might offer a free holiday in Spain if you could get mine like that - but bring a pick and shovel when the bonnet lifts ........meanwhile see how the other half lives ...
We are not Alone !!
Yes - believe it or not that is a P38 ...........
Ok - not a Range Rover but you have to start somewhere and I cannot think of a better
Show us your Range Rovers he said...........does this count ?
Gosh - that is all beyond me - but I'll try and keep your attention with some pics
If I 'share' from my Youtube to an email address it sends a clickable picture. The only way I see to put it on here is to insert the URL which appears to work when clicked as you say. I use Imgur for pics - I don't think it takes video - but mine are already uploaded to Youtube and I'm not keen to have to upload them a second time. I can place a still pic of the video just as appears on the Youtube - using Imgur.
By the way - the headlining ! For a temporary solution which appears to work I have used some of those plastic press studs - the ones with a big flat head and a 'screw' type of body to hold the lining in place in key areas. You have to gently drill a suitable hole in the headlining plastic/cardboard - it is very soft - and press home the stud. I have to get more - they come in different colours - white is most likely but I only have black here - you may catch a glimpse of them in my Tilly vid . With my old classic I tried spraying photo mount glue through a small hole - it was a disaster - the headlining as you well know is made of absolute rubbish material not fit for anything .......
Thanks Gilbert - I assumed it was a replacement job but is it possible to just clean the petrol filter ? Or is it good to have a replacement in case some part breaks ?
Yes - I'm worried about breaking something up here on the moutain but surely after all that time it must be nearly blocked ? What have I to be careful of when taking off - connectors and pipes ?
