Hello, since we've had the Rangie (about two months) there have been 3-4 times when the gearbox has failed to engage. The display on the dash is normal and agrees with the gear lever position but you end up revving and going nowhere. So far is has always engaged gear on the second attempt and behaved itself for the rest of the trip but I'd like to check to see if this is the beginning of anything scary or whether there's a simple explanation (or whether it's normal?).
Could someone let me know if I should start saving up? :)

I've searched and searched but there seems to be a lot of variables on this topic. My Rangie is a 2001 Vogue with navigation and what I believe to be the upgraded HK stereo (at least that's what the advert said). It is all still working and I'd ideally like to keep it that way but is there a way to fit a bluetooth module to let me pair phones for hands free calling and music streaming? For the record our household is all Android, but that shouldn't make a lot of difference for BT. I hope :)
All bright ideas gratefully received! Although I suspect the answer is likely to involve a lot of scary wiring :)

FWIW I've used cheapo ebay HIDS in the past and they've been fantastic. It's all down to the shape of the headlights themselves. I was using them in BMWs with projector headlights so there was no problem with dazzling oncoming drivers because the beam pattern wasn't altered. The light you get from even the 35W kits is fantastic. The issue we'd probably run into with a P38 is the lower current draw of the HIDs which would probably trip the dead bulb detection but I'm sure you're already ahead of that!

Well there I was, wondering if I dare post a question on a certain other board without getting my head ripped off and Gilbert dropped me a PM.
So here I am :)

I'm a newbie to Range Rovers, I've had a couple of Jeep Cherokees (XJ) and was looking for a nice WJ Grand Cherokee Overland (with the 260 HP 4.7) but couldn't find a nice one. While I was looking I came accross an ad for a 2001 Vogue in Epsom Green with Lightstone seats and pretty much had to have it!

Having almost sleep walked into P38 ownership I've woken up with a bang and I'm a bit nervous as to what I've got myself into, but so far she's been a great ride. Once I'm happy that I've got a "keeper" it'll be getting an LPG conversion so I'll have some money left for food, heating oil and other luxuries!

I'll be the one asking the questions for now, hoping to learn a lot from you helpful types so THANK YOU for taking the time to put this board up. May I be the first to suggest a real pub someday? :)
