Thanks guys, no I don't understand either.
Plug was the right colour and shape, only issue on first attempt to connect the plug and receiver was that the pins pushed out of the plug.
Pushing them back in with needle pliers seemed to work but it didn't bode well from the off.
Mine are now at least ten years old and have done 110K miles so I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get a pair of GKN sensors.
She is a 97 Gems so at least I've only got the two to get LOL !!
Mine's a Thor and still only has two sensors

What colour interior as George in the Philippines needs various interior trim plastics.
I'll check.

I bought hi flow cats ( as new ) in stainless with rest of system in stainless from east coast for £160-180, can’t remember which, sounds like something for the off readers in your club.
Cheers, I'll let him know. He might want to revise his price.
A guy in my Land Rover club has moved on from his two P38's to an L322 and is having a clearout of parts.
He's offered me his old single exit stainless steel exhaust for £550-£600, including a set of standard cats and the O2 sensors. The cats and Y-pipe are mild steel, everything after that is stainless. It came off a 1999 Thor.
He had it custom made with off roading in mind (he's heavily in to the competitive trials side of our club). The pipe that goes across the car that joins the two cats together is raised up to stop it getting squashed off road. This is slightly oval in shape too but this is by design and not off road damage. The rear silences is smaller than standard, again for the slightly increased clearance off road.
It has a Powerflow centre box so is slightly louder than stock.
It's in Melton Mowbray and is strictly collection only - the cat Y-pipe is welded to the centre pipe so is too large to package up and post.
I'd take it if I could but just don't have the funds at the moment!
He has a bunch of other parts available too as he broke one of his P38's for parts and sent the shell off to be scrapped. If you need anything let me know and I'll message him and ask if its available.
I did say it was rare, not impossible :P
Does the window raise and lower correctly?
I can't remember (it's been over 10 years since I changed a window in one of these) but it might be part of what holds the window glass in?

Gil- good to know.
Yup- still gurgle so will continue to heat cycle and bleed. My hoses pressurize and I can crush them in a bit using my thumb.
Like most forums, the talk often revolves around solving issues and that magnifies the belief that these issues are bound to occur.
Whenever I need to bleed mine I do find that the very last bit of air rarely comes out until I actually drive the car. It usually needs one last top up after the first drive then it's fine. I don't know if it's the higher engine speed moving it all round with more force or if it's the motion of the car turning and stopping etc.
And yeah, you'll rarely find a forum full of car people all saying "Hi guys, mine's working fine, hope you all have a nice day :)" lol
Yeah, my exhaust manifold bolts were 12 point too
For bleeding my coolant system all I ever do is remove the thin pipe from the radiator and blow down it to clear it. Then I fill the expansion tank, run the engine and let it pull the coolant through and keep topping it up.
Sometimes it will bubble and overflow so I turn the engine off, let it settle and top it off again before running the engine.
I keep doing that until the level in the tank stops dropping and I have heat in the cabin.
As for identifying a blown head gasket letting coolant in to the cylinder is to check for steam cleaned plugs. When mine went it was different - it was leaking coolant OUT of the engine and down the side of the block. I found that by pressurising the system.
If you do replace the head gaskets the exhaust heat shields are a right pain. I had to break mine off, almost none of the fixing were able to be removed and it took ages to get them off. I was told that when putting them back on the fixings sound the edge aren't really needed but I wanted to use them anyway. I had to hammer the shields back in to shape and fit rivnuts to join them together.
The bolts for the rocker covers use a special bit to undo them. IIRC they're a 12 point spline type thing. None of the 6 point sockets I have would work. I had to borrow the correct bit from Gilbertd. I replaced them with new bolts with a different head.

Yes, all of them arrived and departed under their own steam. Impressive huh?
Except the one that arrived under a Toyota diesel cloud :P
Is this guy one of the white ones at the end?
It's not done the high idle for a while now and when it did do it I've not had a chance to get the Nanocom out :(
Went out to have a look just now but it wasn't doing it. Had a poke through some other screens and somehow put the car in to diagnostics mode and the engine wouldn't start, 20-odd miles from home on Christmas Day. Oops.
Thank God for Google and now I know how to use it to enter the EKA code. Every day's a school day :P
I've fallen foul of the lack of signatures on mobile again. If I switch to desktop view it's obvious what you've got!
How does it compare to the P38?
Ah, I see. I've never used it myself but I have been in a Volvo with it.
Plenty of random emergency stops driving through residential areas past parked cars. Not using cruise control but the object detection is the same.
You don't have a P38 then?
Not sure what's going on with the photos but both links take me to a photo of this chap:
Sounds like you're making good progress on the wood though!
Merry Christmas everyone :)
What's lethal about it? I love cruise control, in my experience the car just plods along.
Doesn't sound like much fun.
I'm sure plenty of people over there have ordered Nanocom, I wonder if it might be worth asking on the other forum how they went about it.
Most of my interior bits have broken tabs and mounts too. There's a a few squeaks and rattles but it's mostly OK.
I managed to do mine without jacking the car up, it wasn't too difficult.
I think the biggest thing that would have made it easier would have been some light. I was doing it at half 6 in the morning as it was supposed to be going off for MOT. In the dark it annoying trying to route the hose the right way.
Yup, vent pipe. Should have the end cut on an angle.
