I'm sure it would work with some modifications!!

damn these new electrical pixie cars!!

I'm sure we could make a P38 run on anything!! lol

E10 is a new "petrol" they'll be bringing out in 2020..

Apparently it's bio-ethanol fuel..

so long as its flammable lol

LOL.

Hmm.

I seem to read a lot of the influx of these new fangled vehicles that are powered by magical electrical pixies that come 'oot of a plug 'innit! ;)

Now, my Old P38 will take, by my financial estimate and general dafuq calendar, roughly 8yrs to get to pucker condition.

I want to do some travelling with her once i'm done, will all these new emissions laws cause any issues regarding this, what will happen to these fangled stations that produce that magical go Juice, petrol?

She'll be on LPG and petrol obvs ;)

I've always thought about hitching up a nice tin tent and travelling across Europe. France - Germany - Poland - etc. and of course everywhere as is possible in the Uk.

Now I know ya'll can't predict the future, but is it feasible that these old petrol/LPG machines will still be going in the future?!

And a nice post on how electrickery is crap would be nice.

Anywhoo..

I pick up the spanner and screwdriver and head towards my 38a and can't help but think, whats the point if i'll never drive it..

Anyway

I'm rambling..

Here's a nice P38

It's mine BTW ;)

Any words of wisdom for an profoundly odd 18yr old..

Henry.

Epic!!

Love the Alveston red paintwork!!

Shame you didn't keep the Blue one for spares, but hey ho i'm sure you'll get around it!

Can't wait to see more progress!

Oh that rowan cherry wood is beautiful, as is the red carpet!

That has to be the cleanest P38 interior i've ever seen!

Lovely..

Would love to get mine upto that standard one day!

Same the blue VSE might be broken up!

The Alveston red VSE is a lovely looking car.

Does it have the red carpets?

Any updates on these beauties ;)

Wouldn't mind a few interior pics ;)

Cheers chaps..

By the looks it is staying lol

My nearest LPG station is 4mi away!

So pretty lucky on the part, assuming they don't get rid of it!!

Another Q

whats the biggest tank you can fit in the wheel well of the P38?

The ole' beast will be used as a toy when i eventually get around to rebuilding her..

At this moment in time she has an AC Stag premium LPG system on her.

84ltr tank
OMVL reducer
etc etc

Is it worth keeping?

Of course it'll need a recon as will the car but will LPG be necessary on a vehicle that'll only do 1-2 k per year?

Cheers

That is definitely head gasket blowing between cylinder and outside world..

Like this one!

I was fortunate enough to find this forum thanks to Chris PMing me via RR.net..

This place is truely incredible, probably one of the best foums i've been a part of...

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be that easy to find.

Is there any way we can get the word out??

I've tried to advertise on other forums but they think its spam, and either delete it or ban you.

Also this place seems to be perdominantly P38 based.
RangeRoverP38Pub the No'1 P38 specialist forum he he he Ahem..

Henry,

From what i've read the M62 V8 in the L322 suffers from Timing chain guide rails wearing rapidly and vanos issues!

Not that i'm partial to the 'ole nudge nudge wink wink RV8 lol

Keep finding these reviews on the tinternet.

It looks like the P38 is coming into the spotlight, finally after all these years of being slated..

I wonder if the L322 will go the same way.

Quite an interesting resto of a P38 HSE.

Lovely colour!

ooh can't wait to restore and drive mine!!!

Great cars when they work 100%

Cheers, the previous owner sent me a pic and the entire corner had been caved in..

He filled it with a bucket load of filler and then painted it/

Hopefully a bodyshop will be able to sort it!!

Cheers..

Is it possible to replace the rear quarter panels on the P38,,

My NSR quarter is fill of filler and dents..

The corner has been caved in and filled with filler!

I can't even get a strong magnet to stick to the corner!!

Cheers

She's on the original engine!

125k

I'm not looking at tailing racing cars in my Range Rover lol

Just aiming to give her slightly more grunt. :)

I plan on doing a top end refresh in the future hence the heads and cam queries, just wondering whether its worth "upgrading" while it's apart..

H

I've been pouring through some lesser forums ;)

And there are quite a few engine upgrades available.

Mustang Injectors which i think are Bosch Gen III units.

Tornado Chips

Cylinder head porting/polishing

And High lift cams

Are the above upgrades worthwhile?

People have said 300hp is possible with a healthy engine..

They've also said Fuel economy has improved slightly..

Is this to be believed or is it all hearsay?

H

Thanks both..
