I’ve got both radio and eka on the back of the seat fusebox cover,, I came out yesterday to radio needing the code, god knows what happened
If you just need someone to get rid of the nastys then I don’t mind moderating it,
Obviously I’m not clued up on giving advice.
Multi changer in the boot, left hand side bet you didn’t notice it !
If you’ve got the plastic tray liner you won’t see it without removing the tray, is the subs not good, most probably the cones have gone, you’ve heard mine !, plenty of omphhh
Mine is aluminium by the looks of it, can’t see any clip fixing, I’m more concerned about protecting it as sometimes my hands don’t do what I’m telling them, it’s rarely, but I don’t want to stuff it up, I’ll order the cover I’ve seen, I did look in halfrauds, but cases were to small, or too big, I’ll post when I’ve got the cover, it’s in a little black bag with the leads ect, don’t know if that’s part of the set up, but it’s safe for now,,
Has anyone found a cover for there nanocom, I’m worried about if I drop it as with the arthritis I can’t always guarantee what my hands will do !
I’ve seen a Sat Nav cover for motorcycles which I might be able to adapt, but would prefer a silicon cover if possible as one of them has saved my phone untold times.
Should be all systems go now, when I had mine done they replaced the top trim, I was quite surprised to be honest, but it must be part and parcel with the screen these days.
Do they not do aluminium rivets ?
I’ve got to ask, are you putting those plastic arch covers back
That will be my next test...when it comes back again. Aren't intermittent problems just the best?
Like my tick over, I steamed in changing bits to find the gas hose jammed under the throttle linkage, the way it’s been run needs my plumbing skills, I’m wondering how it will run with 15mm copper supplying it, lol.
Have you tried revving with bonnet open and using your hand to throttle it, with the doors shut your eliminate the whistle through stereo if it’s still loud and clear, if still there it’s got to be a split hose somewhere, could be anything connected to the inlet, cruise control, vacumn hoses, have a look round, it’s most probably in front of you.
You sure someone hasn’t swapped out your lump for a tdi, sounds like a turbo whistle, definitely one to think about,,
Being done on Friday, as he didn’t want the same twat doing it, can’t believe the guys still working there ffs.
So I went out to sort out my erratic tick over, started her up, ticked over normal, came off choke, all good.
So I’m now thinking this thing is playing with me, gave a rev, normal, gave another rev and 2500rpm again, out comes the brake cleaner, sprayed and nothing changed, so off comes the tps, changed it over, still the same, a cup of tea later I’m looking at the throttle body, eureka ! There’s my problem, the way my non functioning lpg system is piped, the bloody gas hose to one set of injectors goes round and under the cable part of throttle body and had snagged on the throttle.
That’s gonna be rerouted for sure, then postie turns up with my nanocom, I’ve had a play with the functions I could use, gonna register and get playing properly in the next day or so, no rush now it’s drivable again 😁
I wouldn’t have bought if not for the erratic tickover, but it’s about time I got one anyway..
I’m lucky, my tester is a Land Rover fanatic, I know no matter what I will pass and be pulled aside if anything needs doing. Quite handy really. 😁
Ahh, so it’s my bloody neighbour who used to wipe out my battery when I had the dse, he’s got weather station, temperature sensor, plus 2 more in each greenhouse think I need to find a signal jammer for a laugh.
Richard, Thanks for the vote of confidence , lmao, you know I’ll be playing straight away, but I won’t go crazy, I need to suss out how it works, and what does what.
I use different diagnostics quite often.
Kid with a new toy, comes to mind.
Super, the tickover just went crazy yesterday, I carry a lot of spare parts, so easier to change and see what happens, it must of gone haywire..
Gonna pop out when it’s cooler and have a play, the tickover increase points to an air leak, out comes the brake cleaner spray, lol
So I finally did it, after having my tick over go from 650 to 2500 I decided I need to invest in a nanocom evo,
Thought I’d have a look on eBay first, and grabbed one for £350, looks like new, in a posh bag, will most probably totally feck the car up once I start playing, lol 😂
I most probably will need some help once I start playing around, I’m ordering software for mine, as this has dse software ( might be helpful to help people )
I’m pretty sure the tickover problem is tps related, gotta dig out the spare one I have..
I’ve changed quite a few ball joints and not had any problems with the collet, it always seems to be pretty rusted in and unmovable, how did you put the seal in, I only ever just push it in with my thumbs, never had any leak
I wouldn’t be without my heated screen, I love it when it’s frosty, fire the car up, push a button, scrap drivers and passenger window and off you go, my neighbours still haven’t sussed how I’m so quick at defrosting the windscreen..
Can’t say I’ve ever had any vision issues, but then I’m blind anyway, lol
I can’t comment at the minute, as still fighting to get mine working, traced it to a broken wire in the loom I think, when working I was filling the tank once every 2 weeks ( £50ish) on petrol I’ve been doing more than double that, I would say I was averaging 15-18 on a run, ( best on display was 26.1, 56 mph yawn ) I’ve got a 100ltr tank, so get 90ltrs in, although highest I got was 85ltrs, I’ve done 260 miles and got 77 Ltrs in, never sat and worked it out, lol
Hi Chris, don’t even waste your time trying to get repaired, no one has managed to repair the dsp amps yet, despite what people say.
