Morat, is it that bad by you your thinking of getting an armoured version for popping around the estate, lol.
Can’t imagine how much more weight that would add to the car.

I’ve found the noise, it’s not my car, it’s the speed ramps, I stopped to let a car through and low and behold, as it went over the ramp the washer sound rang out.
No wonder the ramps are all falling apart round here, they need to come down and tighten the bolts down.

Thanks for the answers guys, brake lines I will check, exhaust has been replaced by me, all the way, but I understand how annoying that must of been.

For a while now, I’ve been chasing a sound, that I can only describe as a loose washer ring !
It only happens when I go over speed humps, will admit I don’t slow down for them.
Has anyone else got this sound, I’ve triple checked every nut, bolt, washer and Bush under the car, it’s definitely from the front somewhere.
Only thing In the pipe line to change is radius arm bushes, P.O. put s*;tpart yellow poly bushes, that somehow I didn’t notice till a few months back. There being changed back to OEM bushes.
Any ideas are welcomed.

Your doing a neat job, pity about the air line, but Sod’s law something was gonna happen, bet you’ve got a mini cutter somewhere, think I’ve got 3 now as can never find them when needed.

Or, could the cutting not be done at the top, into the switch panel. I must admit that if I had an option I’d change the clock aswell.
Although saying that, mines behaved for a few weeks, I normally lose an hour a day, can be bloody annoying to be honest.

Only hassle I see with where I’m putting mine, is that I have to insert nozzles after refitting the inlet, ( bolts will foul them ) I’m going within inches of the petrol injectors.
I’d like to put the injectors under the bananas, but after reading I couldn’t get the correct angle safely ( slightly downwards minimum ) .
I’m looking at replacing my system as I’ve got a problem with mine ( switches back to petrol after 15sec ) I’ve replaced various parts with no luck, I get map as a fault, but I don’t have a map hose, and sensor is new ( pressure) last chance is I’m checking wiring once I find a wiring diagram. Lol

Don’t think I’ll use a dremmel when doing mine, I’ll go old school and file it down bit by bit, I’m good with a router, but a dremmel is a different matter, lol.
Still looks good though Paul,

Take lots of pics, especially the injector side, if I remember correctly, Marty tried the injectors under the bananas, but went back to up on top, I don’t know about all injectors, but mine have a screw on the end which I presume is some sort of adjustment, I’m looking at doing the lower injector point, I’ve adapted a upper manifold already, I hydro cleaned, looks like new, don’t know if I want to paint,,

I had one like that about 7 yrs ago, I also tried the wood and mallet, which progressed to a 7lb sledge, my step father comes along, sits in front of it, and starts stamping the tyre each side ( L & R ) , bloody thing came off, it’s about a rocking motion apparently..

The problem is, that OEM manufacture has most probably been sold to new owners, many companies are bought just for there name, jeez, look at LR, how did it end up being owned by TATA, not exactly quality car manufacturers,

A 250w system 20 yrs ago was great, now they push 5x plus, but I still like the sound of my original system, although think my subs are on the way out 😪
I wonder though is it really worth spending as much on a stereo as the car is worth.

I changed mine at 140k, I’ve done some that had 170 s, the last ones were on a off roader, top one had sheared off the ball joint itself, bottom had sheared on straight threaded part of ball joint, was still being driven to and from off road sites,
Rusty as hell, but they came out easy enough, I don’t think mileage is an issue, it’s down to how the cars been treated and the last one shows how solid they are..
We’re changed cos advisory on mot last year.

Lmao, at raves, only good for 3 changes, 99% of p38s on the road are still running with the originals 20 yrs down the line

The collects rarely moved, if you need any info on removing ball joints drop me a pm and I’ll give you my number

The clunking could be the height sensors, bushes are a possibility, remember it’s 20 yr old car, going to have some odd sounds,
Must admit, as long as mine rises to height I don’t pay much attention to any sounds it makes, will have a listen tomorrow morning if it’s down at all.

Re the tow ball, it depends which type you have, mine hasn’t got a swan neck type, I ended up taking the tow ball off after fighting with filling the gas, and taking my shins out a few times, certain pumps were ok, some where a pain, where I live, the only lpg supplier nozzle was a pain in the proverbials..

If it’s like mine, if I unplug the lpg ecu the car stops, so you’d have to be pretty much at ready to go stage.
I’ve seen the filler under flap next to petrol filler before, if you position at rear, watch tow ball if fitted doesn’t foul with the filling of it.

Can I ask what this extra lambda does

Jeez, what did I start,, lol, think people would be locking themselves in and not leaving the house, my elderly neighbour is convinced if he pays for anything over the phone he’s being tapped, he gets cheques from the bank, sends them special delivery,, his debit cards are in a metal case, in case there scanned by someone walking by.
doesn’t have a mobile, but receives more crap mail than any of us, he often knocks and asks can I track letters, parcels, ect, I saved him over £100 on a package to Italy, saved him major on car insurance, said he could have an old iPad I have, so he can check things himself, but he won’t take it, offered him a mobile, same there, unless he’s avoiding technology because he’s actually a spy, roflmao
