Nice looking motor 👍

You can fit a 19mm bore hose on with persuasion, but then you putting pressure on the pipes to o-rings,, can you not trim it slightly and move it and the clip, to keep you mobile for now, they're pushed on a fair way,, I know there expensive for a short hose, as just done mine after adapting lpg pipe work,,

Most times if only half the screen is working, it's the earth come off, pop off the cover under the screen and get the soldering iron on it, saves buying a new screen and change plenum sponge while your there. Easy fix 😁

I love CC. My partner refuses to use it. My latest toy has 'active cruise control '. Now that is fun. Slows you down when required and then speeds you up again.

Now that would worry me, I like to control the brakes,,

I had the same when I bought my dse, I waited for a nice sunny day, put a small bead of gripfill round the vent, wedged it down in place, was still good a year later when I got rid.
God help anyone who try's to get it out,, lol

Funnily I found the tailgate light out this morning. I know it was good yesterday as was checking all the lamps.

I hit it. Problem solved!

I did that many years ago to my tail light when I got pulled over, plods reply was, try hitting your windscreen, your tax has expired,, sometimes you can't win !

What would dealers know,, lol, if you've got buggered height sensors, you definitely need blocks to get the readings right,, I certainly wouldn't be faffing around with a tape measure,,

The tape measure method pretty much doesn't work and guarantees you're going to get softfaults all the time. Far better to make up a set of height blocks!

I mentioned blocks on the other site,, guess who cut me down,, lmao

I saw a wrapped chrome orange, black roof, looked stunning. I said to other half about doing mine the same, got a stern NO, lol

Wheels look nice,, and at least it's a full fat rangie, think the next evoque I see I'm gonna nudge off the road , 😈

A slight tangent but relevant thought came to mind...

In a couple of years time... this current crop of small turbo petrol engined cars are going to become the cheap affordable new/old/used Saxo or Corsa equivalents... we're going to be hearing crappy aftermarket blow off valves everywhere...

In addition to the obligatory paint can exhausts, of course.

You obviously don't live where I do, that's happened already, lol

Funnily enough I was watching that one as well, but I've had strict instructions to get other things around the house sorted before I'm allowed another play thing 🙁

I've given up trying to centralise my steering wheel, I changed pretty much everything when I was chasing the clunk on my steering.
Adjusting from the shaft between steering column and steering box is so fiddly, the splines are so fine, might be easier with a helper.. I live with mine slightly on the scew,,

I put led bulbs in my interior over a year ago, had no errors on dash, I found that footwell and puddle bulbs weren't very bright, so I changed them for slightly larger which meant removing the plastic covers, it seems that p38 Paul is having the same problem with the map reading as me, so I've left them alone, but they all work well.

Sorry, it is a DSE. It was the only one there and they attacked it like the smallest bird in the nest, the bastards!

If nothing else, the guys are consistent !

It says you need to update your account for others to see the pics

Also turns out that I have serious engine issues. Only running on six cylinders, no sparks, down on power, smoking, sounds '

Isn't yours a dse ? They only have 6 cylinders. Smoke could be dodgy injectors or blocked egr valve, I'd go for the second option first..
If it's a petrol and you need a coil pack to test I have both a gems and Thor set, both with good leads.

Hope you guys are having fun, I'll be at the next one for sure, just bad timing as my other half has stolen my motor and gone to wales..

How the hell did a rat get in there and chew the ring, never seen one that bad, and I've rebuilt a few in my time. Gonna have a dig around this weekend, I've got a good spare block somewhere ( somewhere being the word) so if your still getting probs let me know

It should be relatively quiet, but of course unless you change absolutely everything you might have a few tapping noises here and there, my Thor is deadly silent, but it's only done 40k and been looked after by the looks of it, the original engine even after a rebuild was still tappy!, but i didn't replace tappets, rocker shafts and rockers.

Well thanks to Marty telling me where to cut, 1 hour 20mins saw the Orings changed, and car put back together, I went remove side panels, undo switch pack, remove gear lever surround, remove hevac unit, remove panel under steering column, binnacle and clocks, cut the duct with hacksaw blade ( took about 5 minutes of careful cutting) long driver undid the screw with no problems, cleaned pipe ends with a nylon scourer, inserted new Orings and tested for water tightness, the originals were stuffed for sure, hard and brittle
