Cheers mark, I'll order them in a mo,, bloody 18mm ones are so cheap, apart from the one chancer on eBay at £472.09 for a golf one,,

So mot booked for Friday, so finally put my stainless high flow cats on, definitely sounds throatier.
Went out to the shops, on the way back had a boy racer behind me, came off a roundabout and hit sports and floored it, bye bye boy racer, it took off, I eased of at ???mph as I had to turn off. ( let's just say it was well into 3 digits ) 😁
Apart from main power difference I've noticed she's ticking ove at 7-750, is this the norm ?
Is she in learning mode ?
I had to use the lamdas that came with the cats ( wrong plug, swapped them over) I'm wondering if I've put wires the wrong way, I swapped wire for wire, can't see that gems would be wired differently !

I've not seen any tps like that , if it work then ok,, but I wouldn't hold my breathe on it !
The clue is in the description,,

If the tps wasn't genuine I wouldn't entertain it..I fitted a pattern one , was like being kicked up the backside above 50

No probs,, thanks

Mine on the wales trip last month (789 miles) didn't move at all, started on max, finished on max, only downside is I've lost the self lube chassis system, but after the previous engine, I think I'm covered for life.

I might be interested in the tail gate mark, minesstarting to bubble, I'll give you a bell later

Sounds like she's getting a little tired, but I wouldn't worry to much for the minute, I've got a few engines in my garage that have new rings ect, so when / if it comes to that let me know. I'd say your ok for awhile yet though

A litre a day , your self lube chassis system needs turning down, although when I first got mine it used 4 litres over 75 miles,, hence the engine rebuild, 3 stuck oil rings !

You posted it here before, but I still enjoyed reading it again,,😁

I've noticed the lack of rubber, more sort of vinyl when I've fitted some ball joints.
Luckily when I replaced all mine they were nice black rubber. And seem ok a year on, MOT next week but not worried,, if there's any problem I'll be surprised, I've changed nearly every bloody thing on that car,,

O-rings and switch pack aren't exactly major problems

But the O rings are to some people, it's a huge job that is going to take days to do. My record is down to 26 minutes.......

My first set took me an hour 20. A bit quicker than what LR estimate, next time I'll be quicker, I made up a sleeve ( cut up a screen wash bottle) for the cut vent so slotted back in easily.
But I can see if they follow the remove the dash lark it would take a while, I'm like the rest of us here, if we can do it easier and quicker I'm up for that 😁

I think my mate has FB, I'll show him and let him search for it, seems a bit cheap,, I'm wondering why.

I know someone whose looking for one, if you could get a number would be good, I don't do FB, I like being untraceable, lol

That's because you're 8 feet tall Chris!
Bloody lumpy lying across the engine, but I agree doable

I still climb up on top, I'm to old to lay across the engine and not pay the price, many of my neighbours have seen me perched on top of it, you can see they want to ask what I'm doing, but never do,,

Didn't realise urs was a disco, does the bonnet fold up like on a p38 ? ( nearly touching windscreen)
It's the LR gremlin keeping you on your time toes

Your find the ball joints will have play, but mot never seems to show them till they're really knackered, bushes, I use island4x4 or LRdirect.
My front prop gave up at 135k, so uj's might be worth doing, if you've got the props off a set of hand brake shoes wouldn't go amiss.
Difficulty is down to each bush, but sounds like your pretty well equipped for the job

That's a new one to me, I've never come across firestone bags, you learn something new every day ..

My detailing involves a car wash, a quick wipe across the dash and centre consul, job done, I've got one engine in the garage that I went a bit mad on, had lots of powder coating done, suppose eventually it will go on eBay,, it was more to keep me busy than anything else
