150, how’s it running, that’s extremely low
They were just named landrover,
Get rid of those yellow shitpart bushes, the PO had put them on mine, as Richard said, not exactly the best things ever made, and as they get older they get worse, just fit originals and see the difference
Am I the only one whose completely out of there depth with all this 🤣😂🤣

battery that doesn't fit.
My first Halfords battery was a rushed purchase which I didn't think through first - it didn't fit. The poles were the wrong way round, cables would have needed lengthening etc. Took it back and got the 334.
I believe that happened to someone else here, there listing is wrong..
I got all my info off LR through messenger, had to give them a few details, otherwise was straight forward

Definitely counts as oily now:
Not entirely sure whether it is the gearbox cooler leaking, or a leak from the bottom of the oil cooler yet. This probably explains the fan running excessively.
And now...
Oddly satisfying cleaning it all up. I've left the A/C condenser off now to drive it a bit and hopefully see where this leak is coming from, keeping an eye on things.
Bonus pic of my other other car... this little 323F V6 is the most reliable car I've had and know... unfortunately, its a Mazda. So most of it has now been swept up and is in the bin. One problem P38s don't have at least!
I had one of those, like driving a go cart on rails, how I never got done for reckless or just being a lunatic in it I don’t know, head gasket went, I took one look at the space around the engine, another at the size of my hands and promptly stuck it on eBay 😂🤣
As title, it’s on Facebook, burgundy in colour, needs a little work, make him an offer
I recall Orangebean ( Mark ) RIP,, ( most probably before you joined ) ,, restained his seats, they looked Great, he used a mini spray gun to get the finish perfect, if I recall correctly the cleaning bit took the longest to do, and was the most important, let’s hope his SE is still sailing round the country lanes of Devon, he put a lot of effort into it..
Although it seems people are managing with 1/2 inch breaker bars, I find they have too much flex and I know I would snap it, I got a 3/4 bar with drop down adapter to 1/2”, it’s a beast, I love it..
I did my rockers like that a few years back, easy to do, sanding disc and go right down to 2000 grit, th Jen I light polish and they came up great, it’s the masking them up that’s tedious, but if you can get stripeing tape the same width it’s easier..
I’ve changed so much, I just can’t suss this one out, so it’s strip down time and find once and for all where the problem is, sometimes it will sit for weeks and fire up first time, but you can literally turn it off and it won’t restart, every time I’ve put a meter inline I get nothing 🤯🤯😡😡
I’m starting to feel my biggest cockup, was buying a p38,, this battery drain I have is beyond a joke, killed a battery in 23 seconds yesterday, no smoke, no sparks, driving me insane.. yes the batteries are tested ( one is new ) and both good
Rotate with a bit of light pressure, it will find the pump drive and locate easily,, nothing to worry about..
I had my spare plenum and inlet hydro cleaned, they look better than new, well worth it, I’d look at alternator bracket as well if you can..
It’s possible ive got a spare tensioner, so might have that one covered,, as Richard said, I want to change to Timken , so I know there last a while
Does anyone know the bearing sizes for the belt tensioner and idler pulley, was gonna put some decent ones in while I’m in play mode,, tia
I’ve cleaned all the earths and replaced leads, replaced fuse box, alternator, starter motor, battery ( checked today, still showing as good ) rf filter, the drain can be minutes or hours, I’m gonna pull every fuse, and replace one every 12 hrs, see how I go, lol
I have motronic, and diesel on mine, adding gems next month
