I drove to Strasbourg and back this weekend just gone and went via Belgium and Luxembourg rather than using the A26 in France. About 10 miles further and 10 minutes longer but LPG on the French motorways is 0.99-1.04 Euros a litre (plus motorway tolls) compared with 0.75 in Belgium and 0.72 in Luxembourg (and no motorway tolls). Cost almost as much in bloody Covid tests as it did in fuel!
You don't need LPG if you have E85. I live half the time in France where we have E85 (85% bioethanol) at about 69c/L versus E10 at €1.55/L. Due to the lower calorific value fuel consumption is higher at about 14mpg versus 18mpg but I can live with that as it is less than half the price of petrol. It's more climate friendly too.
LPG gets your the Purple – Crit’Air 1 sticker though, which E85 doesn't?

VAT is decided nationally. The threshold for imports into the UK is IIRC £130 or so. Chasing 23 cents on a 1 euro transaction sounds like it wouldn't be worth it but if that's what the ROI want to do... it's up to them. Or, ultimately, their electorate ;)
Courier company charging a handling charge for processing a bit of paper is going to persue this in most cases, even if the VAT charged is minimal they still typically pass on a handling charge of £8 upwards per consignment for what amounts to very little work/time (reading figures off a customs declaration and generating paperwork to say you owe them for processing it, and the government whatever tax is due).
They won't care if its a few cents/pence of tax in the original case as its not really relevent to them beyond collecting whatever the figure is.

Thanks Brian,
I was aware of the option to do a site-specific search on Google, but have very rarely used it, so forget it’s there. For me (maybe cos I’m on an iPad?) the https:// example you gave doesn’t work too well, but I found that if I put site:rangerovers.pub then a search term it works ok. I found something on diff pinion seals - but not what I was after… time to ask my question!
I think that would do the same thing, I've never tried to use an Ipad for browsing despite using them in work! The search on a lot of forums isn't great, and as Richard says above its down to the software, the phrasing of the options there doesn't really help much as its not clear what each option does.
Its more reliable to use Google and put the site address into the search plus what your looking for I've found, but it can be made to return results
Example
enter link description here
The four options then work as follows
Same search on here doesn't seem to return any results for forum - I think this is designed to find a section rather than a topic so seems pretty useless to me.
Posts will list any posts matching your term (posts being the indivual replies and initial post rather than the topic)
Topics will do the same but list the topics - I'm not sure if the title is enough in that case for a match or if it looks at the content as well
Users is fairly self explanatory.
I've known them to be a right pain to remove requiring their destruction to remove them and be easier than I'd expected and come out very easily. They are more likely to be problematic if they have been out previously I've found rather than fitted once and left alone. Suspect some of that is having the grease on the threads to ease removal
Crows foot benefit is that it goes round and engages with a little bit more of the thread. If you can get a ring spanner over it that is probabbly better still provided its a good fit.
I had issues with the heater circuit on both of mine, which replacing the sensors didn't fix (particually annoying as it involved destroying one of them in the process). Didn't like the look of the drivers side connector so ended up removing it and replacing it with a superseal one. That was the cause of both issues as I didn't do the other side at the same time (As it was a pain to get to due to access) and that did make both sensors start working as they should with no error codes after that.
Up stream are before the cat on the engine side.
Genuine one (Bosch) is definitely the better bet, the copies do not work well on the Thor engines.
I had a generic one on a 4.0 disco, which whilst it did change reading, was causing fuel trims to drift all the way to rich on petrol, If I remember rightly, they were that far away they were stuck at the max end of the scale and wouldn't self reset. Reset adaptive valves and a new bosch sensor brought it back to where it should be on the trims.
I can have a look what mine reads if thats any help, but given is a 4.0 and a Disco 2 its probabbly not the best benchmark for you. I think the figures may be specified in Rave but a real world example of the 4.6 would probabbly be more helpful to you.
One thing that can cause difficulty starting on lpg conversions is if its leaking into the manifold either via leaky injectors or a leaky vapouriser filling throught the vacuum connection. It effectively puts too rich a mixture in the intake so it can't fire up until its pulled enough fresh air through to work again.
Pressure in the tank would suggest the evap system isn't working as well as it should, possibly stale fuel not helping there if its been converted a long time and the fuel been in there for an extended perioid. Though I've known to have petrol sat in the tank over a year without any major problems, you can sometimes notice if the fuel is getting old that it smells different when its running on petrol. A likely cause of problems is if the tank has been allowed to run low enough that the pump would run dry, causing it to overheat (on petrol the engine would cut out, on LPG it doesn't do that as its still getting fuel to the engine to keep it running). Best to keep at least 1/4 of a tank of petrol to avoid that issue happening as that gives you enough leeway to keep the pump cool and some spare just in case you run out of gas or have an issue that means you have to use petrol.
Don't know on the pressure gauge, never tried an air one personally. You probabbly don't want a tyre inflator type one though if thats what your thinking, a standard pressure check tool might be ok.
You might be lucky and find its just popped a ball joint out of a socket, Last encounter I had with one of those stupid birds (on the A34 doing 70mph) did exactly that on another car, plus destoyed the nearside indicator lens. Didn't do much for the phesant if the feathers were anything to go by. Ended up driving round bits of the New forest in fading light with the headlight near the ground only really lighting up the bit of the ground you couldn't see out of the windscreen.
It might be down to the sensor not reading correctly - I think you can see what its reading with Nanocom if you have one?
Its MartyUK that has one

Have a feeling someone else might do as well, but not sure who.
ASH (Auto Silicone Hoses) are good, the only issue I've had with them is the same as Richard - That they advertise items for sale but may not have any stock of the items left.
I don't think its a mistake or loophole as such, some other vehicles fall into the same early adopter bracket despite being Euro 3, and the same applies to Birmingham's CAZ. But the risk would be as you say, that the rules can/probabbly will change at a later date when he decides to. The Taxi conversions that qualified were done with an engine (and fuel) swap to a tested and approved standard (at substantial cost).
Moving outside of the ULEZ would probabbly be the easier way to address the problem, though that doesn't solve the problem if you need to drive in the expanded zone coming late October
Does it have a towbar with twin sockets? I found the wiring on mine to be in a right state, suspect the constant power supply acclerated the rotting process as it had crept up around 6ft of the wire from the sockets. Could see its possible to have issues from that. I pulled both the fuses for the sockets to prevent that as I never use those connections anyway, and could easily put fuses back in if needed to do so.
Yes, it seems we elect them into office to keep them from hurting themselves with their stupidity. Not sure its such a good idea really.
I'm not sure the old way of letting someone prove they can just about drive a car, and then giving them a license to drive a 7.5t truck based on that, was a good idea to start with either.
Welcome Archie
You can set it on the page here > https://rangerovers.pub/user/settings/user-details
You need to upload your avatar somewhere (Imgur seems the easy option) and then paste the address of the image into the Avatar box
You can access that page above from the drop down box next to your name at the top of the page, and selecting settings and then selecting the change user settings page as well.
It looks that way as of tomorrow, the last testing date. Theres various changes to Lorry tests as well - https://www.myhermes.co.uk/track#/parcel/C00HHA0024760409/details the main one being fast tracking so you can go straight to driving an Artic without having tests in smaller lorries first....
