I did just a drain and refill of my box this afternoon, again no time on the ramp of my mate's garage. The oil was not too dark red, a complete oilchange plus screen can wait until summer. No idea when it has been done on this car, that's why.
The drain and refill took some 5 litres, just for the record.
Tony.
Would you believe a car can act jealous? There it is! Besides, we all speak about our RR's as being female, this is what happens when you put your trusted, well experienced lady aside for another one!
As for the box, a drain and fill is about 5-6 litres. (end of this week I know for sure)
Tricky discussion about flushing the brakesystem myself with my better half: The past two weeks I had the driveway done, a shovel levelled the ground, all new tiles and gray basalt between them. "You are not going to do that you hear!" (ouch)
Old skool is bleeding from rear to front and bottom to top but as Richard has said several times the rears you can bleed with help of your own pump, a light touch of the pedal and a helper bleeds the rears. (Or you do the important part while a helper touches the pedal)
For front I think you very well can use the Eezibleed to run it from bottom to top (wheels, pump, abs-block).
Tony.
Edit: Oh don't forget to lower the pressure in the tire to 1-1.5 bar and strap the container with a cable tie. (ever seen it flying off? ☺)

There's a 12 way black connector behind the trim panel on the right hand side of the boot where the green/red wire changes to white.
From there you can make a toggle-switched wire to ground as an emergency entry, hidden behind the bumper.

Sitting at a pavement cafe in the sunshine in Brighton. Rental Corsa dumped in expensive paid parking and not a P38 to be seen. Life's good.
So this thread is changing from a rant-thread to a holiday adventure thread ☺
Have a good time Mark!
Have a good time and clear your mind then.
Sorry to hear the mate, but understandable.
Maybe it isn't wise to maintain two of these vehicles, double trouble as they say. Time to wrap a nice ribbon around the blue one.
Did you remove the diff from the project-one already, otherwise let it be and take her on the trip (as advised by others) and enjoy the ride.
For me it is in about two weeks we are going on a short holiday to Normandy / Bretagne with the RR.
You can save them when removing with care, pry up the inner pin and pull the clip out.
They are like these:
And if it falls out, don't try to catch it. They are heavy.
I should take out the inner plastic wheelwell, just for clarity and makes it easier to stay away from EAS lines.
Tony.

or another set of hands with a big hammer and hit together opposite sides,
That is just the problem when using a disc. The force you apply is way off the centre of the axle, the fitting is too tight to notice if you evenly spread the force.
I left the 4 bolts on a few turns and hit them criss cross to get it out. But maybe I was Lucky that mines weren't that tight.
It is a pain though.
Must say Mark, you are doing a great job. I'm trying to understand the treatment you gave the leather seats (with the steamcleaner and so on), I'm getting it can be tricky and easy to spoil the leather. My seats are ashgrey, there is less joy to gain besides knowing they are clean. As for the headliner, my remark on the staples comes from jealousy of course, waiting for the chance to renew the lot. Your temporary solution does fine, I don't know what to decide yet. Closeby there is a shop that does all sorts of upholstery, in fact he is a saddlemaker, he has renewed the headliner of my former classic a few years back and did a good job for reasonable money (have to ask him again).

Going to have to do a temporary fix, using something more aestetically pleasing than the staples holding the liner up on the blue one.
What's wrong with staples? mine is held up by staples all winter already. Nice, shiny brasscoloured staples...

The benefit of having them hosted here is that, in theory at least, people can disappear and the content doesn't vanish with them.
There you have a point Miah.

Offtopic, but I'm not going to hear the bloody end of it until I implement some sort of image uploader, am I?
Does it mean a lot more space needed to store everything? If so for me it is fine the way it is, there are several free hosts available.
I use ImgSafe, it is limited to jpeg, gif and png files up to 20MB each. Sometimes I miss pdf functionality, that can be an encouragement to set up a nas. (and watch my doorstep camera when on holiday!)
So no problem then, show your pics!
Faff of uploading, You need a host where you can store your pics like Photobucket, ImgSafe or similar.
From there you copy the url of the pic and paste it in the post.
Richard explained it to GeorgeB and he managed to show his pics all the way from Manilla so must be easy peasy for you.
The thread is here
I did see a tophose of a Disco once (well, not fitted but on a pile of other stuff) that had a bleednipple. As this is the highest point it seems very useful to me.
I don't know if it was homemade, it looked very professional.

Quite pleased with the result though
