Have a thought about new tyres. Check the date code on them. I ended up putting my old P38 on RR sport 19” wheels before investigating and it made a world of difference.

Yep! Petrol is more then diesel!

Haven’t seen a single P38 here in a month!

In short nope! I don’t see many nice cars here! Real shame but it’s what the world is coming to! My new company van is going to be the new Ford Transit Electric!

Not going to make me smile like a p38!

Well I’m sorry to say I am moving to Ireland! The only bad news with this is that they charge tax on Emissions and then multiply by the engine size!

Brings the P38 to about £2k per year just for tax!

Unfortunately this means I am going to have to move on my 97 P38 HSE in good condition with a few minor issues. Currently on a private plate but will go back to R448 XUD

Known issues

Headliner sags
Aircon needs recharge
Remote central locking (key broke)

Good points

All original wheels and on 2013 19” alloys including two spares!
New blend motors fitted.
Given love and care at last summers meet
Currently having new Union joints fitted.

Done around 120k miles.

If anyone is interested then let me know.

Mobile office concept and the price!

Prices generally seem to be on the up though!

Nanocom all the way.

True but I have had mine for two years and it’s been off the road for 6 months. My p38 is making me a mechanic!

Thinking about it.. maybe the one on the trailer was in better condition inside and out but knackered engine. Flips it on the M5 and will get the one towing written off. Buy it back and transplant the engine. Quids in!

Wahoo!!

She passed with two advisories..

Anti Roll Bar linkage ball joint has slight play offside front

And

It’s a Land Rover so it’s got an oil leak!

Over 20,000 miles done on Petrol no LPG fitted almost stock running. Bargain motoring and fun!

Great news!!

They can’t charge you for work you haven’t instructed them to undertake!

I did mine three years ago. I was advised after to have got a medical done a C1 in an automatic 18tonne then the following day do the C1+E and get a fully loaded license!

It would have cost about £1k for all that but just the B+E cost £800. Now I still can’t drive a 7.5tonne truck.

I would say no, as the plated max weight of the trailer is 1500kg and the RR 2780kg it would put you over your limit of 3.5tonne.

I would personally give Tom a call back apologise for the phone cutting out and ask if he as access to transport that could recover it form the garage for his attention?

What colour interior is it. I need some of the cream 1997 interior plastic bits that breakers throw away!

Do you have grandfather rights is the first thing?

I would check your viscous coupling isn’t stuck slightly as a 2pin diff is fitted on the back of mine. It’s 4.6 V8 so should have the 4 pin, however since then it’s towed a 2 tonne caravan to Belgium and France several times.

Yes and appolgies I am also a bit far away to offer a tow and also don’t have a nanocomm.

Where are you based? Lots of people on here have nano Comms which should point you in the right direction.
