As Chris said. All the way back it stops about two inches short too! Then all the way closed again. Then tilt up and back down.

Thanks, having a dead brain day. Read that a couple of weeks ago!

Where do you get the plastic parts that wear, the passenger side front is stiff to open and neither the front handles fully retract.

Yep and most of them never even been in one!!

Don’t know why! Basically it’s a P38 towing a race car.

I know a number of these were used by the police in their day but at Oulton Park at Easter this was spotted. I wonder how many are put into semi official duties now?

Not sure why it will not post the link correctly.

Not sure but I have heard horror stories about noisy brakes with EBC Brake pads and disks

Hello,

A Nano is one of these.... (I have started a thread to see if we can get a group buy together.)

https://www.nanocom-diagnostics.com

OK first company to get back to me has quoted!!!!! £134.40 that provides £2m of cover, allows 12 shows per year and covers £2500 worth of club regalia.

I am sure there are better quotes out there so I will continue digging.

I am researching club PLI which entitles all of us as members and for multiple shows. I have seen this can be as little as £30 and as much as £150 for small clubs.

I agree with you though if it’s £60 each sod it and we will go as general punters. I didn’t know about the PLI until the paperwork came through.

Last year my Audi failed on about 10 items. Took it elsewhere and it passed! Garage was investigated and found many test tools out of calibration and a higher average of fails. Always seemed to be able to do the work quickly though.

Sounds a bit like take it somewhere else!!! Spotted the ball joint but not identified the one you have seen.

Chuck £35 at another garage!

OK so I got the paperwork through, We would get two free three day passes per vehicle up to 8 vehicles so effectively 16 tickets free. In addition to this we also get two free camping passes per club. The area we will be allotted is a maximum of 20m however we need to indicate on booking how many vehicles we intent to show.

There is no cost to exhibit at the show however we do need to provide public liability cover, I will look into this but it shouldn't be more then £5-£10 per vehicle. It should also be noted that to take part in the record attempt there is a £5 charge.

There are discounted rates on tickets and camping once the club is register and the initial free places have been taken.

Mine is standard barring wheels but mearly pointing it out. I haven’t had the club paperwork come through yet but will keep you all posted.

The record attempt is on the saturday. I am looking at getting a club entry and therefor some free tickets so hold off.

With regard to the record attempt there must be atleast one Land Rover badge on the vehicle. Just Range Rover is not enough ;-(

There has been some discussion on a meet up somewhere and on many different occasions and threads.

In June, well almost July there is the Billing Off Road Show, which is trying to break the world record for the number of land rovers in procession. As this is fairly central it should cater for most. Its too far for me to go for the day so I would bring the caravan and stay on site for the weekend.

Finally I think this is a good opportunity to register for this as a club. So who is actually up for going?

  1. Rick
  2. Gilbertd
  3. Rutland Rover
  4. MartyUK
  5. No10chris
  6. Sloth

How about a silhouette of a P38 on the bumpstops with the bonnet up? :)

How about a silhouette of a p38 towing each of the other land rovers!

Edit: then again the financials you can get and own a p38 for a single monthly payment of an SVR on lease!

What do people think of the Billing Off Road Show? Its the last weekend of June and they are hoping to break the record of Land Rover's and Range Rovers in a single parade.

I will swap over the Stormers as not only are they nice looking but the tyres are a bit better than on my RR Sport wheels. I'll need to find some really cheap and crappy wheels for it so the scrap man can take it away when I am finished with it - any ideas for the cheapest option?

Do the breakers need to have wheels on it at all? Most around here have a lift on the back of the truck or drag it on with skates. Alternatively let it go with your own wheels then follow it down there and take them off on arrival?
