I would hate to clear all the flies from behind the bull bar and you can’t legally buy them new anymore.

Wood trim yes!!

Sorry to see this. I haven’t been long on here but remember him helping me out too. RIP

Club Entry was going to cost almost £200 for insurance so not worth it this year

I can’t make it now. Work has got in the way.

Sounds great to me!! Think I am free any of those dates.

I am need of Blend Motors
Heated Seats Front
Headliner
Suspension refurb.

Anything else that goes wrong between now and then.....

Cheers will look into it tomorrow,

Started fine for the trip out this afternoon but expect something is wrong.

My mates were amazed to see a 20 year old P38 do 480 miles non stop towing then spend 3 days parked in a field followed by another 480 miles back. She isn't as quick as my Audi A6 3.0TDI but not much on worse on fuel and does tow more stable.

That was my thought. Will see if it behaves now I'm back before it does the same trip in July and a smaller trip in June.

Hello all,

OK so the P38 had its biggest outing soo far from South Wales to Spa Francorchamps and back towing a 2 tonne caravan all the way out and back in three days. Poor girl had to work a bit hard on the hills in the heat but plodded along at a healthy ish 16mpg.

Now when we pulled up in the lanes for the ferry the key turned, the engine started then immediately stalled. I was able to get it going by applying some revs for a few seconds. It did this once more on the journey home but not every time I started it. Could this be that the start idle is set too low. Looked about 500rpm.

Was a good reminder to get the air conditioning fixed!

Does it have a tow hitch and has it been wired correctly mine wasn't!

I am thinking about LPG but could do with a hand fitting it.

How much to fit it? I can help, but worried a little bit as it my only car and I need it for work.

If you are running LPG, it's stupidly cheap in Belgium!

Nope :-( and I am doing about 2000-3000 miles a month at the moment!!!

They are ok, but when hitting a bump it feels as if the front wheels not staying on the ground like they are bumping up and down. Its not severe enough for me to jump on but the whole front end suspension is an overhaul job for piece of mind.

Going over Dover-Calais, then straight to Belgium either via Mons or Brussels on Spa Francorchamps, then in June, Portsmouth-Caen, the on to Le Mans and Saumur for a few weeks.

Thanks, It will be black tape, can't see the point in something that you have a pay for like this. Unless can find stupid cheap on amazon I guess.

Thanks.

Is there a fuse that I could pull to stop the headlamp washers? I could put sticky ones on for the overseas trips and then just not wash the headlamps?

I have a had a look through RAVE and the owners handbook and can't find anything that shows where a headlamp deflector should go or if there is a switch or lever to be moved? Can anyone assist. (This time I am driving through the night so not bothering is not an option).

Bonnet open or boot ajar will do it, thats if you can or I think disconnect the battery. Otherwise you will have to wait for the other more knowledgeable.

Sorry - I'm out. We've got a triathlon event at work. I'm not taking part (hell no!) but I'll need to be onsite to support the tills etc.
:(

Thanks for letting me know and sorry for putting moray on the list, thanks iPhone!

I had an email today to say that club spaces are running low.

The cheapest quote was the first one that I had at £134.40, that may have expired but should be similar. I will need the 100% from those that want to go before we can and ideally a contribution to the PLI. This would be required to be fully covered by people going to this event although will cover up to 12 events a year.

What are peoples thoughts.

Only thing is with IMGUR is that Vodafone firewall it. Not just on mobile devices, they also firewall it on their home broadband. I can't upload to it in anyway. The firewall isn't local either, I use my own router. I was able to upload once but dammed if I can remember where or how.

I’m running the 19s from a RR Sport 2013 they are noticably harder and you do feel the bumps but the car now likes going round corners, doesn’t decide halfway round it doesn’t. Yes 18’s seem hard to find which is why I ended up with 19s. Most of my driving is motorway and typically each drive is over 150 miles so mpg is about 21mpg and no noticeable difference in road noise or vibration with the bigger wheels.
