£132 would get me 407mi which wasn't too bad.
That would equate to £32.43 per 100 miles on petrol then.....
Not too bad then..
When you put it that way, you do see the saving LOL
Funny thing, it felt like it had a V8 on petrol, on gas it felt like a 300tdi auto RRC
I'll get it fixed,,
One day

Yep part of my growing budget is to have a proper LPG system fitted.
the current one is shyte..
wiring is a mare and tbh the range was hilarious, i got 100mi from £40 and it ran like crap, i did contemplate having it serviced by them, but their reception is less than stellar.
in this case the numbers don't really denote thicker/thinner they relate to how thick the oil is at a certain temperature. A 75W-90 will be thinner at higher oil temperatures than a 75W-140. Both are the same thickness at lower oil temperatures. The 75W-140 is said to have a wider viscosity range - when more accurately it would be a wider temperature range. The idea of multi viscosity oils isn't to get thicker at higher temps - it's to maintain a said viscosity at the higher temps. Confusing? Yeah..
Changed the diff oil, full of metal bits..
Rebuild is on the cards.
feels like silt, defo metal though!!
The Old oil is magnetic, very odd.
Front diff is clean as a whistle.
Rear is shagged!
LOL

Huh! Did I fit your LPG system?
No it was fitted by Profess autogas in swansea.
It is a shít system to be frank.
And tbf with the 6mi round trip i did LPG wasn't worth it, as it would switch over "when it worked" outside my work gates, bit late!!
I find myself wondering how you all shift your autos,
The people in the know say you should come to a complete stop before going from D-R or vice versa.
Myself in the 4,000 miles i've had her i myself have never really come to a complete stop, usually 1mph in either direction,
It seems to "go in" smoother when it is moving slightly..

On my lazy days i tend to browse forums looking at hot topics.
In this case I tend to see quite a few "what does yours do to the gallon" threads.
on these i find seemingly identical cars doing completely different figures.

Just curious to see what ya'll get.
More of a question of curiosity.
How does a P38 handle with springs is it as drastic as some might suggest?
Not that i want Springs you understand..

I fiited Bilstein shockers on mine, the ride is good, alot better than the originals they replaced!
Expensive though..
Fitted a Mahoosive Numax battery to the old girl.
120ah and 1000CCA IIRC!
Fills the tray length and height wise!
can barely get the cover on!
Meguires ultimate compound and a DA polsiher
Took around 40mins to remove.
Taking my time ;) LOL
fixed a big scratch ;)
The before.
And the After.
Never a dull moment ;)
Love the blue
Do any of my fellow P38 owners undercoat their 'erm...... P38?
I was thinking of doing mine, as she has 0 rust, i'd like to keep it that way.
I have Waxoyl black..

The old Bus is reasonably Oil tight..
Weirdly..
I seem to recall seeing Britpart branded Oil, might be wrong though..
Used 5w40 Mobil 1 Fully syn.
Just curious, I noted with a Mann Filter that the Oil pressure light would always take 1-2 seconds to disappear.
Since fitting a Bosch Filter the light doesn't even flicker..
Odd maybe, its the design of the filter?
What do filters do you all prefer?
Cheers Both!
I'm gonna cut the foam I think..
Ordered some damp rid!
