Great result!

What is a PIR sensor?

Hiya Gents.

I've noticed the seat in my P38 tends to rock back and forth when accelerating and braking.

Which is a tad irritating..

Also the issue only arises when the seat it fully back, if it is further forward on the rails it's fine, at 6'6 having the seat close to the dash really isn't practical, having my knees touching the dash really isn't comfy,

Would getting a pair of pliers on the rails and giving them a squeeze help?

Or is there a bolt that can be tightened?!

LOL

Anyone else have this issue?

H

Around 280hp yes not too much more than the Thor V8.

The Rover V8's torque comes in rather low down whereas the M62 sees over 3k before any real progress can be made.

M62TU in the L322 is hard enough to get running right lol

Locking the Cams is possible, I've used a grub screw on a cheap L322, just drilled into the unit and locked it..

She ran ok.

An M62 without Vanos is pretty sedate, on par with my 4.6 i'd say.

Fuel consumption is frightening on this thing!

Needs a full tune up..

Saving to get a nano and quite a few parts to freshen her up..

Ahh cheers Gilbertd

I'll have a look.

Cheers Gents.

These three.

it is an intermittend fault, somtimes she'll start up and they;ll be there.

Sometimes not..

i can drive a mile or 2 and it'll be fine, then randomly come on..

ABS sensor?

The wabco unit behind the dash is dry.

Certainly.

Nice to know a Linley has been saved!

Thanks all.

A great read.

Shame the road banned JMC

Sprag Clutch A Failure i'm afraid..

Quite common on the HP22 not so on the HP24 but if abused it is possible.

Hello Chaps.

I seem to remember a restoration thread on JMCLuimni's Linley..

I read what i think was it a while ago, but i can't seem to find it?

Is it on the Dark side?

Really been looking for it!!

would anyone know how to find it?

Cheers Gents.

My Mot tester is the opposite.

When I took it over I knew the front ballpoints would fail as the wheel rocks like nobody's business,........

Lo and behold it passed!

Rear dust shields rusty! Lol.

Gotta love it.

Originally I intended to restore my P38 and use it at weekends as a toy.

However, after driving it around the farm and generally having fun with it, I'm leaning towards doing it up and using it daily.

I used it when I bought it for a few months as a daily and loved it, however she was a tad faulty back then lol.

Am I crazy?

I guess making a P38 reliable is the hard bit lol

H

Yer.

What I get is terrible.

6-8mpg is what I think she averaged on LPG.

They're plastic bodied injectors

According to the invoice.

Lpg system is listed as "AC STAG PREMIUM"
The Reducer is OMVL

The installation in 2013 was £1879

In 2015 it had what seemed to be a £704 service.

Bit string imo!!

It has OMVL Dream injectors.

A 2007 made tank in the boot.

The lines are routed outside the NS chassis rail.

Wiring is iffy..

If I was to replace the system, what is the best one to go for?

No never slogged it upto redline.

What's a Thor supposed to get realistically.

I thought anything above 14mpg was a bonus.

I ran her out of pez once, spluttered into a station.

Brimmed the tank £134 IIRC.

And got 380mi from it.

£50 of Gas would get me 90-150 depending on the cars mood lol

It was cheaper for me to run it on petrol lol.

I'm thinking a complete system refresh a new BRC system perhaps.

I'm not entirely happy with the line routing and wiring TBF.

Wish I hadn't looked lol

Another odd thing is.

She's not registered on the LPG register.

Which is odd, as she's listed as Gas/Bio on the V5 and Gov site.
