That is interesting.
Thanks both.

The LPG system just quit, no real reason so it's possible it is service related.
Rather odd.

I should note the injectors are in the upper part of the manifold, nowhere near the injectors.

And throttle response was pants above 4k on gas the engine struggled it felt like it had 1/2 the power, on Pez it pulled like a train.

Range as I said above was 150 which was a best for me.
90mi was the worst, lol.

The system if from 2013 so not that old.

I think she's had LPG since new.
Not entirely sure though.

Is it possible to find out when she was registered as a dual fuel?

Cheers

H

.

Throttle response was carp MPG was pitiful. And tbh on petrol it was a different engine lol.

So the reputation holds true lol.

Ahh.

Right.

So they're carp?

It is an AC Stag system. Apparently. Lol

Hiya LPGC it was installed by a place called Profess Autogas, based in Hengoed (15 miles north of Cardiff).

The indicator just flashes on the dash.
I ran it to empty once and it never worked again!

I used to hear an audible click from the tank when it switched over, doesn't do that anymore. Lol.

It has £30 of Gas in it which is annoying lol

Thanks.

I think she needs a few new things!

When I drove her it was mainly M5 motorway work.

The LPG system has packed up now.

Needs some work.

Her MAF is in need of a replacement.

The PO said it backfired so bad it blew the intake trunk apart and took the centre out of the MAF lol

My P38 early on in its life had a single point LPG system fitted, according to one of the previous owners it used to backfire through the manifold and ruin the MAFS

I have an intake pipe that has been blown apart, which is odd.

My question is, can you make a Thor V8 run on a single point system?
It ran ok sometimes but not always. Allegedly.

She now has a multipoint system on her.

My other question is.

Is it right for an 84 litre tank to give only 150mi range?

Surely i should be able to get more?

Cheers gents.

High capacity Petrol V8's are the future lol

The "first one"?

So will they build a fair few and flick the switch? or will it be 1 every decade?! lol

My point about the "hybrid" is many people think the Petrol armageddon is close, but even EV's are still using this evil juice, makes ya think!!

And regarding the numbers, they seem to pull them 'oot of their arse!! lol

Hybrids are exempt from the Ban apparently!

So they're not looking at a Petrol Armageddon!

Odd i've also learnt that some EV's have a "petrol" range extender LOL

that is specific?

Why not knock down all the Big'uns and build a few hundred on the free land?!

Pie in the sky LOL

'Tis but a proposal!

Gotta quetion why they think Leccy is 100% clean when it obviously isn't!!

I know!

Weird!

In my opinion it is a pie in the sky, and the industry will find out the hard way IMO!

It'll be a multi million/Billion venture to "upgrade" lol and it won't happen tomorrow!

Eventually some will realise!

I bet the ev industry is taking alot of smack so to speak, but it isn't publicised!

This ICE ban started in the latter half of 2017 it is now 2019 fast approaching 2020 and i can't see any vast movements towards EV? in the sense of industry just alot of "talk"

Labour seem into the idea.

But i believe it'll be a "rent only" agenda with the possibility of Private car ownership impossible.

Luckily by 2040-50 most pf the current knob'ed's will be either Dead or retired!!

Weird that the "increased" popularity of LPG has resulted in a decline of available stations?!

Weird.

The Push for EV's has grown in the city.

But TBH i don't see where the Gov is going to get the cash to invest the Billions they have planned into the EV industry.

Isn't the grid already at capacity?

What happens when a few Million EV's plug in?

Personally to me it seems to be a load of carp.,

What about HGV's etc that Have to use Diesel, don't see there being an EV HGV in 10 years, unless some genius lives among us!!

Vans are another issue, basically anything commercial just can't run off of Leccytric.

The Voice for LPG seems to be getting louder though, and i've seen a fair few stories regarding LPG conversions in london going stratospheric!

I myself don't see how it would be possible for all this to happen by 2030 i thought 2040 was optimistic. LOL

LPG's growth IMO is inevitable, especially in the commercial sector, and it'll also benefit us IE more stations prolly a reasonable price too!

Hiya Gents.

I 'ave had this issue since i got her, the Little "gully" that houses the wiring loom under the plastic kickplates next to the seats is filling with water when it rains.

The sunroof was another point of interest, it would squeak like nobodies business and be generally unpleasant .

Also while I was there gave the rubbers a seeing to, as the roof does weep a tad.
