My 1962 ford consul 375 probably be better on solid tyres

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you couldn't buy 1 set of tyres age 17 and have them till you're 70 ---- because you would have to keep the vehicle you had at 17 -:------ and it wouldn't be a P38 due to insurance

Ah cheers just wanted to know --- got a diesel one spare

Talking about tyres I'm glad that now tyres 10year old (manufacturing date) are illegal 🤗 why anyone would use/trust tyres that old amazes me

As a quick note am I correct that DSE relay tray different to V8 --- are they compatible I mean 🤔

I think it irrelevant about tyre wear as roads/driving style ect makes to many variables ---- unless it's same vehicle &driver trying out tyres ---- just my thought ---- I've got maxxis on vogue and general grabber on disco ---- both seem capable for my use

Fitted drop link as play in joint at steering box and replace torn seal on tailgate button now wait for steering knuckle joints ---- oh joy
Did front brakes on disco too

It's a classic so probably a suitcase full of rust by now 🙄I had 1 years ago put ford focus on chassis as original body fell apart more than a discovery 1 🙄 my boss bought it for sky's Carmaggeden show --- they wrecked it 🙄 But anyway if not on DVLA records then it's a fair bet it's scrapped 🙄

I'm wondering if it's sticking ignition switch or alternator draining down --- I hope you get to the bottom of the issue soon mate

You mention RF filter yet in one reply it states single wire unplugged ---- that eliminates drain --- as proved by a few So I can't see what RF filter will do in that case

I use my vogue daily for work etc I have also got--- 1962 ford consul 375 -1965 Rover P6(buick300ci V8) -- 1997 discovery 1 300tdi manual
The vogue is a 1999 and 1 of 26 in Oxford blue ---Ive got a 98 4.6hse I'm doing as pick up ( still figuring out step side bed)
When finished that's my forever car 🤗

Harv what took you so long 😁 P38 diesel or V8 are great on / off road --- won't be long before the value goes up as now P38 becoming reviewed by land rover mags and classic mags too --- enjoy 🤗

Went to roverviews and got red hazard switch and it fitted --- direct swap --- so now got switch you can see immediately 🤗🤗 thanks for info

I'm going to roverviews later for a switch and I will see if I can swap front of switch for red --- I'll update if possible to do -- just in case someone else wants to fit red instead of the black --- or vice versa

Hi and welcome as dave3d said about his P38 being a forever car ---- they are ---- forever something to do 😁 seriously though not as bad as magazine articles would have you believe ---- The help on here is amazing and as you will find out ----- parts are quite cheap/easy to get 🤗

Typical that is 🙄

Can I swap to red one then ? are plugs same Red is easier to see quickly in an emergency I think

I can't figure out how 2 engines same make can behave differently on same oil 🤔had that at work couple of weeks ago --- ended up running both on 10/40 still slightly different but not so much

That's up to you mate but I had lumpy running when cold till swapped to 10/30mate Tom same issue with his 4.6 too
Buick 215 or 300 same oil yet mine runs 5w30 due to lifters /pump

Just wondering ---- vogue hazard switch is black ---- mates DSE switch is red ---- how come ---- red better so why mine black ? Anybody know ?
