Marshall8hp I wasn't allowed to play today as 32 wedding anniversary ð but definitely tomorrow as Saturday snow and I want to see what vogue like in snow
I'm lucky really use disco 300tdi mostly --- my vogue is ok just sensor gone & 4.6hse got cut in half making it a pick up gems engine stripped to make coffee table The one fault with P38 is 20+yrs is electrickery yet newer range rover seems worse ð
P38s certainly keep you busy bit like painting the fourth bridge ðĪŠ
You remove clips and gently warm the mastic sealant that holds glass ---- did that on my omega years ago ---- glass on headlight is pretty thick so should be fine
Cheers Marshall8hp I'll have another go in the morning --- I'll try small scew driver to lever too --- stuck solid ð
Silly question but how does connector come off of temp sensor on front of inlet manifold on a Thor V8 I've tried can't get it to separate I need to due to sensor not working --- got replacement when can get damn plug off ðĪ
You only have to see all these new cars in holding pounds 100s of them ----- my 1962 ford is column change 3 speed vacuum wipers if it needs fixing a screwdriver and some spanners usually enough gets 35mpg too no tax or not ÂĢ100 for insurance it's got style and always gathers interested people so nope keep your modern gadget soul less plastic trash
Mmmm my vogue suspension rises quite fast so maybe you need pump overhaul But glad you got becm done
Might be as simple as battery now beyond its life ðĪ rather than anything else
I know you can get an oil cooler system that uses sea water circulation that probably what was there originally ---- with the pistons reaching top is a bonus ----- I'm wondering if pistons or crank from a stroker kit ðĪ Still at least seems going right direction now
They have a ladder frame --- remove studs fit regular oil pan --- some had dry sump lube Hope that helps ps marine usually 305 not 350 ---- diesel use similar block to really mix up people too
I don't know myself why yanmar marinised the m57 engine Even the V8 Toyota they modify doesn't last long -- especially when I put them to nearly 300hp ---- if I had the money I'd go chev V8 I know you can get 600 plus ---- I've got to build the V8 at some point but busy making P38 into pick up 1st ----- I hope your P38 done --- don't give up ð
I've got a Toyota 4.2 V8 diesel engine courtesy of collected parts from work I got the car related parts too as ours are modded for marine use Good luck with the BMW m57 engine I've destroyed 7 on the Dyno all same fault ---- hollow cams have the lobes move as pressed on ---- might be great in cars but useless for marine services as constant high revs do cams ð and don't even start me on plastic inlet manifold
Check leads to starter --- could be relay issue
Got steel delivery to make pick up bed on 4.6hse today --- hopefully get it done for the summer --- if we get one
That's what I thought P38 meant --- problems
38 ð
On marine engines --- which have a harsh life of constant immersion in sea water --- we use stainless steel studs and copper nuts --- never an issue to remove ð zinc /steel cause electrylic reaction which is bad news
Should do the job mate
Yep red/ yellow --- one for memory of settings ð
Fitted Vogue's new water pump , tensioner and pulleys today Only been carried around in it for about a month ---- took minutes to fill up again ---- using low air pressure through line from top of rad to bottle ---- filled bottle put cap on pull trigger to pressurize water drops release cap and repeat fill process took about 10 mins total ðĪ
