If water gets into the crack then freezes mmmmm I'd be surprised if window fitters don't take this weather seriously as most replacements are done in cold weather
I said tail gate not top half and tailgate wouldn't need much reinforcement just look at discovery door
Impressive work but if I was doing something like that I'd just modify tail board to open sideways
Old broken Speedo drive cable what I use as flexible yet stiff enough to shift blockage
Well done you on fixing it At least the rebuilding of the alternator can be done indoors anytime
I would have thought as V8 realise more on volume than pressure you would have oil circulation after about 30 seconds ---- is pump actually engaged ---- I've no idea about gems or Thor V8 I've built my Buick 300 tho which is basically same as old 3500 V8 but iron block not aluminum
I would do battery 1st my 99 vogue kept going to limp mode & saying gearbox fault/abs fault & then clicking no start --- I did new battery and year later still ok BUT if new battery drains then get alternator as diode gone
I've done egr delete on 300tdi it made a big difference so can't see why not on DSE
Fixed Vogue's becm fault and electric connection and fitted interior led bulbs Xmas present complete with trim removal tools and got wet at finish due to the rain Apart from that not a lot really 🤣
Took bcem out and found some loose connection and then noticed pulled wire on a plug -- clearly sometime ago had issues there not by me Suffice to say 2021 day one spent under/ in a P38 +--- can someone please remind me why I got 1 ---- is it so you have plenty of time alone 🤣🤣 Seriously people thank you for the support ---- no Viking funeral yet but I do have a HSE to cut rear off mmmm 🤔
Happy New year hopefully better than 2020 I'm spending my time looking at wiring diagrams --- all my lot in bed watching whatever they want
It's made of unobtainium in short you might be lucky on eBay ---£100 believe it or not or try a breaker for one ---- but the part unavailable 🙄
When matrix burst it flooded carpets I aquavacd it but unfortunately not enough and plugs going to the becm were soaking wet --- that's what I discovered today my mate Mark tried his HEVAC unit in my vogue and vise versa mine working in his 🤔 yet his one in vogue same issue of control switches not working ----. He and Tom @ Rover views say bcem damaged -- Mark reckons he can repair it ---- I don't have anything to lose letting him try ---- if he finds out anything tomorrow morning I'll let you know --- in case of any use in future for anyone
Apparently I was told becm controls HEVAC and it has relays in it for heated rear window ---- so I've been told anyway mate ----- I've had enough of bloody thing now and shan't be sorry when it leaves ----- had rough engine too but that went when fuse/relay tray swapped out ---- it's definitely not worth me messing around with now ----- I could be on it for days with same outcome
Turns out becm is no good so am seeing about another car next Friday the vogue going to breakers next weekend thanks for all the help and guidance Happy new year to you all and Stay Safe
I'll take a look in the morning at swapping out relays ----- If I find out what cure is I'll let you know ---- thanks for your time and effort
All other controls are functioning which is why I'm really confused
The switches don't eliminate when pressed on front and rear screen nor seat buttons either ----- put another HEVAC display in as well ---- same problem all fuses are intact
Went to use vogue earlier and my heated window switches dont work neither do the heated seats I've checked fuses so any ideas ---- I am seriously considering calling it a day with it now --- getting to be very unreliable and bloody cold too
Definitely ouch bonus tho nobody hurt or worse Glad everyone ok after that serious event
