Now I got a question for the fellas ... what ATF you use in yours? I am not interested in brands, but type. I've replaced mine (partial drain/fill + filter/strainer, this was before I've perfected the method above) when I bought the car (239K km) and then I've done another one at 254K km. I plan the next in another 30K km, if the box holds as much ....
I've used Mobil 320 Dextron III type on both occasions, but now I have learned there are many "varieties" of Dextron III, ranging from C, D, H, J, and so on. Anyone has a clue that is the correct type for our old gearboxes?

I'm going to use a 75W 80 fully synthetic gear box oil in mine not to bothered on the brand as long as it the right oil

I know the diesel ones or prone for turbo failure think your right other gear box to
would you say I'd be best going with gut feeling and just stick to normal service and drop the pan and new filter job

don't know it the engine makes any difference I've got the 4.2 jaguar AJ-V8 lump
with adaptive six-speed ZF 6HP transmission (ZF6HP26) ZF automatic transmission,
might have to do a bit more research 🤔
thanks Richard

hi folks it a way off yet but mot is due on my l320 sport
so would be a service and MOT local garage will do this they do it every year and know thier way around a range rover (owner has a 1965 series llA )
anyway do I go down the route of standard gearbox oil and filter change or should I send it send off for a transmission flush?
I'm more for oil and filter change just wondering has anyone gone down the flush route ?

hoping to get my 4.2 supercharger back on LPG so will give it a look
@Lpgc I did drop you a dm about my lpg

had the same with my old diesel had trailer on back and 100 2foot by 2 foot slabs it knew it had that weight pulling behind almost came to a stop going up a hill lol

can be a low battery as well with give that fault up

@Pierre3 I believe the hose for the thermostat don't have any gaskets or O rings the pipes are just straight connectors

STC2194 is the thermostat housing to head of ring

hope this helps

thought I'd treat it to a bath today

I was under the impression that it was all new builds from sometime this year had to have an EV charge point, no idea if it has been pushed back or not. I like new builds with good insulation, I'm installing AC systems in peoples new build houses as it gets too hot in the bedrooms as soon as the sun comes out.....

your right new builds and major renovation projects have to have ev change points built think it was the 15th of this month even some commercial property's have to have them now

doing the same as a lot as people I'm putting my range rover sport back on lpg got the tank full just looking for the oil bottle for it

thats the thing the government are pushing for EVs
like you say lpg didn't take off to well cause of demand plus the major fuel stations fell out with calor
I'm In the building industry and my boss was telling me they now stating that after a certain date all new builds and major renovation projects must install a electrical charge point

I've got 100 liter tank fitted to mine
cost 85p a litre from local garage
