Your biggest problem is securing them so they don’t roll about, 3 engines without mounting brackets will go in easy, as Richard said, it’s a bit of man handling to get them in.

I can't believe it's been 3 months since I stripped the engine out of this car!

Good news though... the new engine from V8 Developments is ready to be collected!!

It should be beast... a Torquemax camshaft, bigger valves and gas flowed heads... I'm like a kid at Christmas! :D

David.

Bet that’s made your wallet a bit lighter, lol

I’ve had 4 classics, they were my starting point into range rover ownership, the first was a 71 3 door, was a manual and a beast to drive, last was an 89 5 door Vogue, would I buy one now, no !, the p38 is such a different drive, the complete car is better made, don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed them when I had them, but why go backwards, my last one was 10 yrs ago, I sold it to a guy up the road for 50 quid, it was just sitting on my drive taking up space, suppose he got a bargain really,

Fingers crossed for you, it annoys me that the UJ’s are such an easy thing to maintain, but people buy p38s and don’t do basic maintenance, it takes until complete nutters like us till they get the maintenance there meant to have happens.
Whatever it turns out to be, lucky it happened when it did and not on the motorway..

That's an easy fix - with a grinder grind 1 mm depth and about 1.5cm length from the side of the grease gun nozzle - you may have to do the same on the opposite side. I think I had to do that for the Defender, in fact, but it gives you the ability to get the nozzle onto the nipple between the two halves of the UJ, never had a problem since. The simplest ideas are the most satisfying :o)

Where’s the like button, lol

The guy in the Vitara was a bit throttle happy, I reckon even with road tyres you would of got round the blue course, watching the video reminds me of going to Marty’s workshop, lol

Somehow I don’t see you taking yours off-road, lol,, it’s always fun to go and watch them fighting to get round the courses,

I’m always weary of prop UJ’s after having the front of mine breaking, smashing the gearbox sump and crossmember, suppose I was lucky as day before I was a ton up down the m11,, that would of been interesting for sure..

Apart from the drive side of things, could it be a loose heat shield flapping under the car, i had an engine tray make some similar noises once before

All I know is it’s a DSE, I’ll try to find out more

A question for those in the know, I’ve had someone ask if nano can sync ecu, the rangie has been converted from auto to manual, manual ecu installed.
Don’t slate me if it needs other things, it’s something I’ve been asked about and admit to not knowing.

I had mine done at local garage ( mr uniques ) after I’d replaced steering box, ball joints, droplinks, panhard bushes, drag link and steering bar, took them around an hour and charged me £40,

Couldn’t swap the loom as mine is soldered, about the only part of the install that was good, I’m going to test each cable now, starting at pressure sensor ( fault according to scan ), starting up now sorted, one of the wires on bank b lambda was shite, pushed it home tight and seems ok now ( fingers crossed )

Found one of the pins on lambda had pushed back, reseated and I’m running much better, let’s see if it cures my starting problems,,
So definitely check your lambdas

Exactly the same as mine, I’m pretty sure mine is O2 sensor related, Do a live scan see what there doing,, mine is definitely over fueling

Simon, I totally understand what your saying, I tried to explain the same thing to him, being a plumber for many years I understand how things like this work, it’s the programming side that throws me, lol

It’s a landi Reno’s system, it says pressure sensor faulty, ive changed it twice ( both Bosch ) , i then bought a complete system 2nd hand and swapped everything over, still no joy, it happened after my mate borrowed the car, at the time the temp sender had broke, so wires were joined, he switched it on to early in the cold weather and it blew the pipe off the filter, not ran since

Brand new battery, cranks fine,, as for lpg, I give up, been a year now without it, the prick round here who is the so called lpg specialist won’t touch it because I’ve re run and replaced the hoses ( he suggested it ) , I think he just doesn’t know what he’s doing, told me that unless the joint in the pipe was central that one bank would get a higher pressure, and the car wouldn’t run, lol

Done adaptive reset, but will do again

I’ve got a nano, I’ll plug it in again, I had fuel purge valve fault, I changed that, cleared the fault, but it comes back now and then,, I’m wondering if I’ve got a loom problem, my lpg refuses to work more than 5 seconds, I’ve changed everything on it , ecu, injectors, pressure sensor, solenoids, maybe there’s a wire out somewhere
