So if I leave the car for more than a day it won’t start, I stick jump leads on ( after exhausting battery ) and sometimes it will fire up first turn, sometimes after numerous attempts.
It’s as though it’s flooded when it does eventually start ( smell of fuel ) , once running for a few seconds it will restart no problem, I know I’ve got a dodgy O2 sensor, but can’t get under at the mo, as I’ve broken some ribs,, would the sensor cause it to over fuel on start up ?..
Otherwise it runs fine..
Running mine in series tidied them up nicely, might get the lpg working this year, lol
Thought I’d told you about here rob, this is the main site, we take all the banned members from rrnet , lol, the other offer for bushes still stands
I keep my snap on pack handy, it’s never let me down, old and heavy in comparison to today’s jump packs, Keep an eye out nowadays and there’s some bargains to be had
I gave mine a dab of silicone on the back to stop them falling out again
Looks fantastic,, brilliant job.
Only problem I’d have, is I don’t have a spare lining, nor a greenhouse, lol...
How’s things going Phil, did you get the brake problem sorted ?
Hi dan,
Welcome,
hmmm a 2003, either a L322 or very last of the p38,, ( and before anyone pipes up, I’ve seen a p38 on a 03 plate ) .
Which is it ?
I’ve done quite a few sets of ball joints, never found any of the lower collets easy to move, you must of been unlucky , I would think with a jack under that you should be able to get it lined up, a torch shining at the seal should show when your pretty much straight, I’d be tempted to give it a few turns outwards and see what happens, have a measure on the good side how far out the collet is and match it,,
I would of thought that there was no change in the route between 99 and 2002, but it’s a Range Rover so who knows.
I’m wondering lhd v rhd would there be a difference ?
Have a good time guys, pity I can’t be there, but it’s to cold for me at the minute, if a summer camp happens I’ll get there
No, your looking at a vacumn, the pipe there talking about is under the throttle body, there’s a heater plate, one pipe comes from inlet, other goes back to expansion bottle.
Re your orings, look at PaulP38A.com ( I think ) your get pictures of where to drill hole to get to screw, make sure you have a nice long pz2 screwdriver to hand, makes the job much easier
I’m nearly the same as Gordon, there’s 5 Ltr s of car shampoo sitting there, must be 4 years now, as my other half works for Sainsburys, I get top wash for £2.60 so guess where I get my car washed
I use plusgas, I think both the tins I have must be 20 yrs old, you can see the difference between wd40 and plusgas, the plusgas absorbs into the threads straight away.
I’ve got 5 Ltr s of wurth penetrating solution to try when I get round to it,
I must admit, I bought a 450mm pz2 screwdriver that is solely for the dreaded orings screw, can get plenty of pressure on it and no slip so far ( 4 sets of orings )
I might be wrong, but I think you have to solder them to the bayonets, i think Marty has done his, I’m sure he will let you know.
As for the orings, do them sooner rather than later, first time it will only take 90 minutes max
Things like that, I pull the bonnet struts and fold it back to the screen ( use the lock tabs ) and climb in the engine bay, even being 6’4” it’s still easier than stretching over
There is a place that repairs them, but I can’t find details at the minute, I’m sure someone will pipe up with them..

Cheapest I've found in London is the Sainsbury's at Becton by the A406 North Peculiar, A13 junction.
The one I mentioned, was at 52p a litre, after your 10 th visit it’s down to 42p, when I asked why they said that hopefully I’d be buying something else, UNLUCKY, Lol
I fill up in London if I can, there’s only one very expensive shell just off the m11 that sells lpg round here, in London I’ve found a BP that apart from being increasingly cheaper, also gives a penny a litre off ( with every £30 spend) going up each time to upto 10p off every litre,,
It means I can have a difference of nearly 20 quid with a full fill..
