I’m going to make some calls today re PLI, if we have to have individually it’s about £60 which is bloody ridiculous, surely the people who have arranged the event have PLI ?. A couple of quid each, from each entry would cover everyone,, and there events for a year, makes more sense to me !
I’m not tight, but I’m not spending fuel, entry, and then another £60 to go at 5 mph in a long line of LR’s, I can sit on the m25 for free, in a lot longer queue 🤬

I’m possibly up for a weekend, depends how I feel at the time.
Worse ways I’ll do a day, be good to meet up again with everyone.

You most probably could find some steels, otherwise look for a cheap set of classic wheels.. if I see anything I’ll let you know

I honestly can't imagine anything that would command a premium simply because David Beckham had a hand in it and that includes posh spice.

Jeez, I’ve got these horrid vision of beckhams hand in posh spice,, lol,, slapped myself 🤐

Remember it’s going to take upto 10 minutes to repressurise the tank, some times if they don’t lift, stick a jack under the tow bar and give it a hand,, the height sensors sometimes don’t like reading when down on the bumps
I had a dse that if it went down, I had to bounce on the tow bar, then it would lift

Nice to see the BBQ king has the priorities correct, lol

Well done mate,, let’s hope Teri has a 10 mm spanner or socket

78 from island for britpart, I agree, bloody stupid money for a bit of pressed steel..

Finally got digging through the garage, seems I don't have any clamps like that one, I will keep an eye out, terri , 2 options to get it moved, small mole grips,, ( remove battery camp first) and cover so it doesn't earth out, or a small clamp, available in £ shops here, will just get it back to you place till the correct bolt is located..

Think mine must of been replaced at sometime, still got flexibility on the plastic pipe ( hope the p38 gods aren't listening). I've pulled at around a few times with engine in and out .. I've never had one air lock, but it's easy enough to pull the manifold pipe to check

Well done Brian,, now I know what I'm looking for it will be easier. I agree with the neg terminal,,

It hasn't been cut off Chris, it's missing the bolt to clamp it onto the battery terminal. The difficulty is that unlike than all the others the battery terminal isn't on the cable to the fusebox but on the one to the starter. I don't think Maplin are in France (and they've just gone bust anyway) so any bits would have to come from their equivalent to a DIY store.

Aha, got ya,, I'll have a dig through garage ( the tardis) tomorrow and see if I have one floating around..
Just a thought as a temporary fix, would a small pair or mole grips not work ?
Note to self,, tidy the bloody garage..

Terri, from what I understand, you need a battery clamp that takes 3 cables, any clamp with a bolt will do the job, 1 cable ( thickest) to clamp itself, other 2 on ring connectors to the bolt, any decent electrical store ( Maplins etc) or electrician should have ring clamps to fit the thicker cable.
Do you know why the first garage cut the clamp off ? I know there not the best connection wise, but it's easy to tighten the connection up..

Get on the net and start searching the breakers, someone might have all the stuff you need, you might even be lucky with the colour, sounds like it's all bolt on stuff

My tester still uses the old style gauge, I think he just likes flooring it round the block.

I took the other halfs car out, fancied a few hand brake turns at 5 am before the,
I can't drive in snow crew came out and ruined things 😀

Gonna have a dig through the huge box of odds and sods I have, possible I've got one of the old type connectors that had the 2 screws to secure the cable, change one of the screws to a bolt, problem solved straight away,,

Had a quick search on the net,,
Terri, have a look on eBay at battery terminals, there's various types which will take more than 1 cable, either through a block connector, or a bolt which will take ring connectors

Is it not possible to swap with the older Renault type that screwed down from the top, fitting flat connectors should be easy enough.
Obviously the height of fitting would need to be checked,, only other way I can see around your problems is to fit a splitter box and run auxiliary cables to that,

Prices I quoted were from there site today !
