I’m sure I’ve seen that one before, the reg gives it away,, must of been on ebay

It’s not a 93, it’s a 94 4.6 p38, how did mot go ? I’ll give you a bell tomorrow, most probably something silly as was switching over no problem..

I’m thinking that the shape is more a guide to keep the O-ring sitting nicely

If they could be separated, maybe thread them so can be screwed together, but that’s some thing to look at in the future

Can’t say I’ve ever really looked as to wether or not they can be split, if they can then I’d be interested if Clive machines some, as I’m sure others would be, looks like I might be taking my spare block apart,,

Thanks Simon, I’ll see how the penny’s go before I decide, I’m not using the car much at the minute so it’s not to much of a hassle

You do realised you’ve started the ball rolling now, within a year your garage or loft will be full of p38 parts,, 😂

Thanks guys, I’ll avoid them for sure, also as I messaged him asking if it was possible to purchase the engine loom as well, was told he would sell me a loom to wire it into ,, in my words, he can stick it where the sun don’t shine 😁. He’s obviously just cut every cable to remove it.
I’ll try some injectors and see if mine improves, if not I’ll have to save some pennies and send it upto Simon in the new year to have a fresh install

Ok, so there’s a BRC system on fleabay, is that any good ? Or prins?

The previous owner was special ! I’d call them something else, but special doesn’t come into it, they were obviously one of those, looked after by an enthusiast people, who shouldn’t be anywhere near a p38. They must be related to the guy who sold mine, lol..
Hope your enjoying yourself with all those o-rings 😁

A new system it is, I’ll have a look round and see what’s on the market..

I’ve been told that if I take the solenoids apart there’s a rubber washer which has most probably worn to nothing, hence the noise, but to be honest think I’ll have a look around and see what’s available, pipe alterations isn’t a problem, I’m just drilling a spare inlet I have to move the gas nearer the petrol injectors, I’ve adapted a set of bananas to get the pipes through, so once I’m ready to reinstall it’s all there ready.

is it worth sending it in to the LPG man for a potential sort out or do you think it's beyond repair? A new system will cost a couple of quid.

It’s not the best system ( landi renzo ) no one else seems to have, the injectors are so noisy, myengine is a very low mileage LR exchange unit, it’s soquiet, when I’m on gas the injectors are all that can be heard

Book it in with Simon. He may be a bit of a trek for you but if he can't sort it nobody can. It's going to be cheaper than the £400-500 you'd need to spend on a decent quality front end.

I know Simon can sort it out, but I need to get different injectors, mine are so noisy, sounds like a diesel when there running, iveput a lot of time and money into this one, so I want it running nice and quiet.
I have a as new set of apache ig1 injectors, but I don’t know if there compatible with my system, nor how noisy they are, although gotta be quieter than what I have at the moment

I’m pissed off with my lpg making more noise than the engine, plus bloody thing works one day, not the next, anyone got a recommendation of there system ?
I’m losing patience with it now, either it runs right or it goes into spaz mode, at the minute I’d say it’s running on 4 cylinders when on lpg, I know my mixtures are up the creek since I ran for 2 days with the wrong O2 sensors, it’s since had 2 , 70mile trips on petrol, but the mixture is still rich ( bent down to pump rear tyre, nearly choked) so I guess it needs changing by diagnostics..

It’s so good, moray ordered 2, 👍

That’s needs more than a defib, what a pile of crap, 5 grand, I’ve scrapped better.

I’m lucky, my tester is a LR owner and a friend, I just get told of any possible future problems, I’ve got to do my rear brake lines at some point, he mentioned an oil leak when I was getting my ticket, when I said it was the self lube chassis, the guy behind the desk actually though it was a genuine LR system fitted to it, I walked out laughing to myself 😂 I haven’t got the heart to tell him it means an oil leak,, thankfully since the new lump went in I’m dry as underneath 👍

You know once you put heat wrap on it, your get another advisory on next mot,, ✌️

Lucky escape, that could of been a lot worse.
