Confusingly, AT2 are the earlier model, apparently killed off by Euro noise regs but you can still find them if you hunt around. I have them on my Jeep. They're really good all rounders and absolutely stunningly good in snow although I have a size that was Mud and Snow rated, not all sizes have the snowflake symbol. They look the part too, which is vital ;)

I couldn't find the right size locally for the P38 so it's wearing AT which are supposedly new and improved in every way while conforming to lower drive by noise limits - which sounds far too good to be true. They're very good on the road, I haven't off roaded the P38 yet but I hear they're better than they look on mud but a friend of mine has a disco4 with them and took a lot of grief recently for getting stuck on flat wet grass... but I wasn't there and he might have had the handbrake on for all I know :)

So it's 8mm ID then?

Actually, after searching my Paypal History I think it was my fault. I'd ordered the wrong size, then thought I'd ordered the correct size. Guess I never got round to the second order!

How much space do you have on the server? You might be creating a bit of rod for your own back here...

Thanks Gordon!

I was searching for the size of the coolant pipe that has no specific route... I'm sure I ordered some but it never arrived from the silicone hose people :(

That was my wife's 540 touring six months after she bought it. 4.4 V8, 6 speed manual, memory sports seats, upgraded stereo...and utterly mint. Basically it was as close to an M5 touring as you could get in an E39.
We got rear ended on the A303 by a corsa driven by a stupid old cow who was talking on her phone and didn't notice the queue forming. She took the rear corner off a Lupo and still had her foot buried into the carpet (wrong pedal) when she hit us.

Sorry Dave! Have the mods got the ability to split threads on this forum yet? :)

This is what set me onto the path away from RWD and towards a P38 (via a Jeep)

Sadly it has now gone to the great scrap heap in the sky, although many of its parts lived on. I still have those wheels.. which is starting to piss me off :(

Welcome aboard! Sadly I'm not an expert but I do enjoy listening to those who are :)

I used to moderate on a decent sized BMW forum and editing people's posts is just a complete no-no. Any mod who does that should be removed.

Anyway, I was saved from getting too used to the other place before I was told about the Pub so I'm happy!

One reason why rrpub has not been widely publicised is that we would prefer to keep the membership to people that have a modicum of technical knowledge

I'll do my best, pwomise!

As for ToadHall, I'd just ignore him. The more you complain about being banned the more he'll enjoy his power trip. The game really isn't worth the candle. It's an open forum so you can still read it, but if you register a new account I bet they won't catch up with you unless you start posting. It's very hard to hide your posting style from an experienced moderator.

Probably the cleanest one with the shiny new Air Dryer...

HAha :)
I'll just swap my shiny collets to a new chassis and motor on :P

Ferryman, I'm counting loon as lunatic. I don't think such a trip would be a rational choice - but potentially a very entertaining one!

Who would be first to sacrifice their own Rangey for the good of the pack?

I think we'll need a classic car restorer along for the trip at least :)

Wow, so they're banning people for sending invitations to this site?
That's ridiculous :(

I think we need to arrange an epic road trip to Latvia for all the loons on the forum. If we can take in some offroading on the way, all the better. Maybe we could bend the route past my parents place in central France which is just north of the Massif Central where I'm told there is good offroading to be had. Or something.

That's a great tale of endurance and lateral thinking - nice one Richard :)
I think that alternator deserves a proper funeral, it certianly gave its all.
(I'm taking notes, because I'm sure it'll all happen to me at some point).

If you've got an Android tablet with a data link I think you'd be mad not to use the native Google Maps navigation. It updates itself, you can download offline maps and it gives really good live traffic data.
Your call of course.

I think they only exist for people who are flipping Range Rovers on to unsuspecting punters (like me!).
I'm starting to understand that in adverts that say "Recent X,Y,Z" you should actually be reading "It'll need at least these parts in the next year"

deleted :)

Hmm, flat blades really aren't all that special in use. I had some on a Fiat Coupe and went back to normal for the next set. They do make you look like the sort of person who'd fit blue illuminated wiper nozzles.
Woops :)

Hmm, can they be copied? Mine is apparently the latest (but it still gets confused by all the new junctions on the A1).
