Sprays on as a foam so leave to soak, then what Chris says
It's nice looking, I agree, but around twice my budget and I'd cack myself driving it around the Devon lanes and scraping it along hedges.
One for the collectors there, I think
Now if you really want to throw money around:

Hah!
Got the Motronic licence for the Nanocom. I'm all dressed up and no place to go...
If only I had a Motronic to test it on :-(
The Nano manual for the Bosch says:
MAF sensor: AirMass Flow Rate in Kilograms per hour. This reading shows the amount
of air which is being used by the engine. Under most conditions this will indicate the
current power output of the engine.

Seemed too coincidental! Though under the Motronic, the MAF sensor is stated to be 'grams/second' - helpful...
In the "olden days" when I ran a string of garages, when cars came in for a "tune-up" the mechanics would move the drivers seat forward one notch as part of the process. Customers used to rave about the increased throttle response and power compared to the pre service feel!
Perhaps you could try that?!
Or, on a serious note, how about checking that your throttle cable hasn't gone a bit out of adjustment?
The Nano is Kg/Hr so your MAF is spot on I think. No conversion factor required.
For the GEMS (I don't have the Bosch Nano docs yet)-
Current air flow: This is the current reading taken from the Air FlowMeter. It should be
around middle 20's at idle rising steadily with engine RPM until around 200 KG/HR at
5500 RPM.
I think, as it's only reported that fault code once, historically, just treat it as a glitch and go back to worrying about your servo motors :-)
Well, if my interpretation of the entrails is correct
It's RH bank (sitting in drivers seat), v. lean, happened once, not there at the moment
Run it around for a bit and see if it happens again perhaps?
A check of the O2 sensor numbers and, just for fun, the MAF numbers might show something awry.
Can't help with the chirps and consequences etc as I only occasionally lock mine and use the key, but...
Is the light on the fob working when button pressed?
Has she tried standing close to the OSR window then operating the fob?
Has she dropped the fob?
How well trained is she at the EKA process?
Not yet- he's not the best communicator. Still slightly optimistic, but trawling the web again...
Well, it so happens that I'm looking hard for the right P38 at the moment...

As an aside, it could be quite possible that rather than put my 38 in px, I may offer it on here at a very reasonable 'no offers' price just to keep it in the right manner. I know anyone of you guys would look after it properly and I hate the fact that some muppet might buy it who hasn't a clue about 38s
Not to mention suspension struts and steering column locks...

We'd have to question your sanity :)
But otherwise, it'd be great. I look forward to hearing stories of gearbox changes and electrical faults that I know for certain won't occur on any vehicle I own!
I don't see that you'd be blackballed if you went down the Mk3 route. The expertise and empathy on here currently revolves around the P38 though, so you'd be a test pilot for the new one,
It is a pub, after all, so to extend the metaphor, you wouldn't bar a person from your local just because they moved on in their life and acquired a different interest. If nothing else you'd be the guy sitting down misty eyed over a warm pint saying
"I used to have one of those"
You could always put the cash you'd have spent on the L322 into your current P38 (or a replacement one) with the aim of getting the perfect car- paint, trim, new top-hat motor etc. Depends whether you're a P38 person or a Land Rover person. The only thing the P38 and the L322 have in common is the badge on the front after all.
Ah well, if all else fails, out with the Tiger Seal!
I'm never going to have to take it off again anyway :-)
Didn't explain too well! Not the self taps that hold the 2 parts together through the metal lug.
The parts I'm looking for are the push clips which sit in the 4 sockets that I've ringed in red in the pic and push into the tailgate frame, like the cheesehead ones do in the door trims.
Anyone have an idea of the part number or generic clip- the 4 that hold the brake light trim panel into the upper tailgate?
I imagine they're similar to the cheese headed ones that hold the door trims in place, but with a mushroom head. Wouldn't know for sure cos my broken panel was siliconed on and all I have is a mushroom head top rattling around inside.
Microcat computer is once again where I'm not otherwise I could look them up!
Hope so Clive. Still got the Norwich backup anyway
Damn- according to eBog rules he has to wait 48 hours from sending in a non-contact request before the bid can be struck out and a second-chance offer made to me!
Patience isn't one of my virtues, but going to have to wait until Tuesday lunchtime now...
I've got some REALLY expensive software that goes into the database to extract all that sort of information
or
I read right to the end of the blurb:
"Reserve is set at £2500 and I am hoping to achieve a little more so please do not ask what the reserve is or make me silly offers."
:-)
Or he could be from Lightyears away (sorry- couldn't resist)
