Well it didn't sell so you'd better hop over there and haggle!
Looks like a nice machine and the driver's seat looks perfect in the photo.

Not my colour, darling, but I can see you pulling it off ;)

Oh Morat, you're sooooo conventional. Your seat fetish hasn't responded to the electroshock therapy either :)
Listing was pulled 6 days early. Suspect a deal was done behind the scenes

I think the title of this thread would have resulted in a ban from the other place too.
Over "there" Jacking a P38 means to remove from the owner by force...

So it most likely is a Vogue I'd say. See what a vehicle info lookup returns?

The number plate's hidden. Usually my first port of call is registration info and MOT history, but more and more people are hiding reg numbers now. Fear of cloning and all that :-(

I suspect it'll be a £3k plus car anyway. Too rich for my pocket

Sort of looks like a Bordeaux- trim and fit-out right, but they never came in a 4.6?!

This one's rather lovely- and in my favourite colour too:

I suppose the wind deflectors will come in handy when the aircon ungasses itself and you need to cool the interior on our 3 days of summer.
The car's obviously been heavily detailed for the pics so I wonder why they didn't do the doorhandles?

Hadn't spotted the door handles! By strange coincidence though, the only Epsom Green P38 upper tailgate for sale on eBog happens to be collection only in Cornwall. It's almost as if the holes in the cheese are lining up on this one.
Of course, even if it turns out to be as good (!) as it looks and runs like a Swiss watch, with impeccable service history, I still have to win the auction at the right price.

Nor do the wind deflectors on the windows combined with the gangsta tint. One granddad the other ghetto. It's a strange one this!

The one that I'm most interested in at the moment is this one. Not far from me either:

Only problem is, the guy selling won't communicate at all. Doesn't answer questions, nor will he answer requests for me to view.
Sounds a bit fishy to me.
BTW the wheels and the tints are not to my taste (thankfully he's putting the standard ones back on) and it's green, my least favourite RR colour (sorry Chris!) but at the right price, and if I get a chance to give it a look over first, I might just go for it...

As if by magic he's finally replied to me with a phone number so I can pop over and have a look at it.
Anyone have any useful tips about Thor cars that I can check for, apart from the usual rust, leaks and normal car vetting stuff?
I will see if he'll let me plug in the Nanocom so I can see any historical codes, but anyone with any savvy will have cleared them first :-)

Add a spattering of clown hair dangling under the bumper...

Very topical :-)
Not had a chance to flatten any killer clowns down here yet!

While we're listing our ills.... mine has started sitting down at the front every night. EAS works perfectly otherwise.
Also, my wife reversed it into a tree so there's a nice little dent near the N of RANGE on the tailgate.

Take off the N in RaNge then the dent will be nicely framed with RA GE

There are, but not cheap (cue rolling around with hysterical laughter at prices)

There's an Autobiography too but it's rough (looks pikey to me)
but if it's shiny bodywork you want, why not get yours resprayed? Sooner the devil you know than somebody else's cast off.

I think mainly because the devil I know will always be a '95 130000 mile GEMS on single point lpg and, no matter what I do to it (needs aircon, headlining, fascia replacement, paint- prob about £1500) it'll still be a 95 GEMS and worth the same as it stands at the moment. If I sell and chuck the £1500 into something a bit more "special" and younger I stand to get more bangs for my buck...

OK then. How do you want to pay me the £4.5k? :-)

You can have my 2001 Vogue for 4.5K

Something like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142145838197?
for instance. At the right price (£1k ish?), a respray and interior sort-out and it'd be a keeper

Chequebook's been up on mine since I bought it! Works fine apart from the lack of chilled air cos of the firking great hole in the condenser! I've sort of got used to living with it, but its another non-essential repair/ enhancement on the list that's pushing me toward buying a better one and not throwing any more pounds at the current one

Yeah, I know what you mean, but the hand-finished paint job sort of appeals. Cr@p paint is what's bugged me about my current one, well, that and the tired interior. Now if there was one out there for sale 1999-2002 Thor, baggy leather (not purple!), wood everywhere, top hat liners, I'd be looking at it with interest :-)

Found this when digging around on the web:

For some reason, I've got a feeling I'm going to add one to my fleet, if I can find the right spec at the right price, so if anyone knows of any late Vogues/ Autobiographies up for sale at a reasonable price, let me know!

I think you've invalidated your warranty :-)
Good fix and a bargain cure for the wobbles...
