Steering is pucker, i do have a set of joints to put in.
That cam is probably one of the worst ones i've seen..
Mine was quite a bit less pointy than it should be when i did the valley gasket, should of pulled it out!!

The ramp at the MOT centre i use had dollies on the ramp that vibrate and shake the wheel all to hell, quite clever..

Never heard of "fullrun" tyres before, might be worth even swapping front to back..
Try swapping the wheels and tyres with your other VSE if possible, or another P38..
Mine used to wander around like a bastard until i put a better set of tyres on it, the Michelins on the front, the sidewalls were like jelly and caused the car to wander
swapped a set of Nexens on it and its been fine ever since..
I guess the tyre sidewalls were diaphragming "is that even a word" in and out when driving..
I think my BECM set a record for a burn out LOL
These BECM's are fickle things..
Would it be worth checking for water ingress into the BEcm?
Water ingress is killing me!!
No water on the bulkhead, further more the foam up there is dry..
No water leaking from the bottom of the dash..
No coolant
The plenum is all sealed up and all screws sealed..
However both footwells are wet!!!

Fitted a new EAS compressor and had to breach lockdown to get some essential supplies, my Asthma inhaler among them..
Anyway half way there it is pissing down, doing 50mph down the A49 the right hand wiper comes off its spindle and tangles up with the left one!!
Ah fook..
So luckily i had the forethought of always RainX coating my glass and the water is beading right off, but it is still a ballache..
Anyway, I manage 5mi later to pull into a carpark and fix the issue with some tools i have in the back, all the while rain is pouring out the sky at a rate of knots
After fiddling around with it for 5 mins i had it set and i continued onwards..
Only to find once the wipers were fixed the sun came out and the rain stopped!!!

At the shop i then noticed i had a very soft tyre, luckily i have green slime on me and a pump, so that was also tended too..

The collet looks like the one of the Airbag, is it a question of removing the dryer and throwing it in the microwave for a few seconds to dry it out?
I was thinking of drilling a hole in the airbox and EAS lid and feeding a length of PVC pipe between the two to give a cold air feed to the compressor to help keep it cool, atleast when moving..
Might extend its life.
Anyhow i've got a new Dunlop pump coming tomorrow..

Just thinking outloud, if there was a problem with the air pressure storage side of the compressor, would it cause a drop in ride height over time?
It runs for 10 seconds and can cut out for several minutes only to cut in again for 20 seconds and then cut out for 10 then back off for a few minutes LOL
The motor did turn very easily..
