2nd that. Put new rings in and buy some time with it. Clean mating faces where the rings sit so all is smooth.

Same as with people, I now men that give overwhelming information and are irritating bastards...

If you visit the Oetiker site you can go for a grade when reading their product-info. Not to mention the crimping tool with torque wrench.(£££ I guess)

x2 on Pirtek, great guys. Explain them the fluid that runs through and what pressure and they come up with a solution.

That should have been too obvious, there's more clumsyness needed to deserve that title.

So from now on it will be Sir Orange then!

Sport as I am, you're the winner Miah. Your prize is...

Take care with those heaterpipes indeed, there is no support at all other than the O ring support. Are you plumbing them in series or parallel?
Parallel gives the neatest install (and can swap the matrix when needed and keep the LPG functional) but in series you are sure they both get heat.
Dilemma's. Find a place for the vap just below level of the overflowbottle.
Richard may have a point in bringing all grounds to one spot: the - terminal, my levelindicator is acting up weird. It keeps toggling between 2 and 3 leds, no matter the volume in the tank. Sometimes it shows 4 leds on a nearly empty tank. I'm going to change that.

It's marginally warmer with my head in the footwell too, which is nice.

Believe me, when my head works as a stove my temper is below zero :)

EDIT- is it worth grounding the ground connection on the tank solenoid to the chassis?

I was advised to do so by an installer from Vogels, only reason I can think of it saves the ground all the way back to front.
It one of the grounds from/to the ecu though.

Want to give the car a bit of an extended road test so might venture out to fill the LPG tank as only have 1 contents light on and it'll make testing pretty difficult if I run out of gas.

Run it empty! (after repaired the pipe) Than you will know how far you can do on one led and you can test if it switches back to petrol automatically.

Now we're getting somewhere! Congrats Mark.

Now, if I have the wipers on and stop at a set of lights, they go into intermittent while stationary and go back to continuous as soon as I start to move,

This is a typical BMW heritage. Or as OB suggests, maybe Bavarian people are all at age. Reminds me, the first 2CV had that in 1959 already, the wipers stopped at a trafficlight but that was because they were driven by the speedocable ha ha.

At least you live in a civilised country though https://eandt.theiet.org/content/articles/2017/01/paris-bans-old-polluting-diesel-cars/

Nothing new, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam.
Once you enter the citycentre your plate is scanned and 50 meters further a big sign tells you wether you're welcome or not.

Every pub has a mad old bloke that sits in the corner talking to himself. I have to face the fact that I am that mad old bloke...

I thought that was me, after 160+ posts about issues I cannot solve from here.
Just get off my seat.

The last sentence reflects exactly the way I do it. (with contact cleaner)

I think I have been lucky then. When I installed my LPG I disconnected all connectors of the ECM, cleaned them, soldered a wire to conn. C0638 (rev counter) and conn. C0635 (O2 sensors) without disconnecting the battery ... oops.

I found a couple of new interiorfilters in the shed and thought 'why not renew them', last time was one year ago and I have done less than 9000 kms since.
This is what came out, people let me believe I live in a clean air region. Not dramatically dirty but stilll.

I see you have one loom (of two) going to the LPG injectors that has a red sleeve, in my set up that is bank 2 (cyl. 2, 4, 6, 8). At the injectors oddly enough they are marked A, B, C, D for cyl. 1, 3, 5, 7 and E, F, G, H for cyl. 2, 4, 6, 8.
There are also 2 grounds, one for the tankvalve which I also grounded there and another one which I directly connected to the -batt. post.
Hope this helps a bit, must be quite a struggle so to see.

The black wirecover slides too, in loomdirection to release...
