I’m looking at putting a shark fin on the roof, can’t be any worse than what we have.

Ethically, I'm not so sure :)

Aerial amp looks like this:

Have you, or your neighbours, got a nice new 433MHz radiating toy for Christmas? Weather Station, router, smoke alarms, burglar alarm, door opener, that sort of thing?
Did you fit a 3rd Gen receiver, or 2nd Gen? The one on the right in pic is the only type that is 99% immune to external interference

Did you ever get round to buying a Nano? You can use it to reset/ clear the RF memory:

Read RF memory: This will confirm if the BECM has received a valid radio frequency (RF)
transmission since it was reset with the clear RF memory function. Although a key fob
may transmit it may not be sending the same Fob code as that stored in the BECM. This
test confirms that the correct fob signal has been received.

Clear RF memory: To be used in conjunction with the READ RFMEMORY function. This
resets the memory, which stays reset until a valid fob code has been received by the
BECM. These then stay set until reset with this function.

If replacing them all get a new thermostat and the metal flex pipe if you can justify the extra expense. I have heard the metal pipe rusts and restricts the flow.

The metal cooling system pipes do corrode internally, if the car doesn't have a history of nice fresh coolant changes especially. Doesn't restrict those pipes as such, but the rusticles circulating in the system certainly block other tight parts.

Somewhere around £20 David. Invoice is on other PC so don't have the exact number

I think there's only you, me and Rob on here that have VSE batch 4's.
Rob has a badge- I know that 'cos he kindly photographed his so that I could use it as the basis for the artwork on my re-creation.
I used these people. The end result was great, and you wouldn't know it wasn't OEM- unless of course, you parked next to a genuine one :)

If you caught it in time, it should survive. That hose looks a bit "bulgy" in the photo, but it could just be the angle it was taken from.
Britpart hose?

I have dual FM aerials on mine. Got a pointless one for Trafficmaster as well :)

I mean, I know TWO VSE's is exciting... but that exciting?!? ;)

Twice the pain of having to live with that easy clean lightstone interior!
I'm impressed to note that the Vogue SE badge has been nicked off the red one though. I thought it was just me.

Make sure that your old maps are backed up and you can restore to them if needed.
It's not likely that the map requirements will have changed- assuming it was properly mapped in the first place, so after fitting the filters and vapouriser refurb, check that the petrol side is running spot-on first. Lambda's switching, MAF airflow numbers correct, trims in the right place, all that sort of stuff.
Before doing any mapping work you need to ensure the petrol side is as good as you can get. Then see how it performs on gas.

Like Chris says- from empty it can take 15 litres to pull though enough to run- especially if it's on a slope

Lots of chatter around the Instagram/ Facebook communities around whether that's a P38 or a L322.
Thankfully no injuries.
My money's on a 322

Super shiny? Mine? I think not!
Here's what it looks like this morning, and I probably won't clean it again until Spring

I agree with Gilbertd that we don't need another website, URL/ name or anything like that. I'm not even sure that "ramping up" the site into just another of the P38 sites already out there is needed.
I like the fact that this is a small community of knowledgeable P38 people, growing organically, and think it should continue on that path.
Doing the odd show or whatever is a good idea, and a chance to meet up. I'm personally not into evangelising about the P38, addressing any reputational issues it might have (I don't care about what others think of the car) or trying to put more people behind the wheel of a P38.
It's just a car, that I like- a lot, and it's nice to share that element with like minded people in the virtual- and when the opportunity arises- the real world

Happy New Year to you, Dina and all of the other regulars in the pub Gilbertd

While you're ordering parts, it'll be worth getting the software and appropriate cable to connect to the LPG ECU.

David mentions "multipoint" in the original post

Rear is easier than the front. Hubs don't seem to rust in place as badly, probably cos they spend their lives very close to an oil bath
Be prepared for the ABS sensors to be well stuck in their housings though

Not stolen- converted into a supercharger :)

Here's a nice one for you all to enjoy.
