I've tend to use Bosch on pretty much everything. Only once has that been a problem as the filter would not fit, and that was on a Vauxhall Astravan. Mostly as it looked like the best option at ECP brand wise.

Good quality Britpart is that even a thing?

There are some utter crap ones out there - if you haven't seen it, this is worth a watch when you have some minutes to kill.

Given the Fram is the second cheapest out of the options on ECP, it makes you wonder how bad the Crosland ones might be.

Fuckin hell that's bad

Internal Non return valve fitted, maybe.
I usr what ever is cheapest at the time of Bosch, Mann, fram etc. No cheapies though

Like morat says

Failing or failed diodes in the alternator can cause battery to go flat.

Fans, brake pump, etc could also be adding to it

I think they about 13amp each.

Welcome.

I got banned from the dark side for daring to reply to a thread with stuff that wasn't apparently on topic.

There's some good folk this side :)

Hah bumbug ;)

Looks like I'll be taking all off then :)
Cheers bud.
Already have a set of gaskets as I keep 1 set in hand.

May as well change the other one that's weeping a bit then.

That's what I'm thinking. It's why I don't want to disconnect all of them.

I have a feeling it's not going to be that easy. The issue is at the pump end connections :(

Guys,

I need to change No6 injector as its pushing way too much fuel out of the leak off pipes.
I know its manifold off etc, not a problem, but I dont really want to remove all the high pressure pipes as it can be a bitch to start again.

Can I just loosen and move 1 pipe?

Thanks

A lot on the low side. The very early cars had the regulator set at 13.8V but with the higher calcium content in later batteries that can handle a higher charge rate, from around early 96, the regulator is at 14.4V.

I put a new regulator in my alternator with a 14.4v set point. Much better. Not had any becm issues since.

13.7 is a bit on the low side.

I believe there is also a method that plugs into the eas switch on the dash

Mine has decided to sulk at the moment.
Diesel leak off pipes keep leaking:(

Absolutely nowhere around here does that sort if stuff. Sometimes it's easier to go my way :)

Feels lovely now.

I spent an hour this morning stripping the button after I noticed the button lost its springiness.

I bought a spring and o-ring from a guy on ebay last week. A tad expensive for what it is, but worth it I think.

Ebay

It is very easy to do.

This is the guys video which helps.

This is the spring I removed. Eek

Rusty spring

You can plug in the modulator with a little bit of care and see if tc light comes on with ignition. Mine did when I bought mine. Assuming of course that the bulb is in there mine was.

First spotted with binoculars when fishing off the boat but didn't look for long since dad and grandad were with me, we had a laugh about it though. Dad let me use the Landrover, I knew it wasn't far down the beach, at maybe 14 had to have a ride down the beach to check it out eh! Got as far as some old bloke walking bolx naked by himself who gave me a funny look and turned it around. No fit birds bah lol.
